Proving Nat Phos?

I've been giving my son Nat Phos 6x, 2 tabs twice a day (after lunch and dinner) to treat his Gerd. He is 3 1/2. He had just gotten a cold when we began the medicine.

He still has a very runny nose. What I've noticed is that, the runny nose seemed to be gone in the morning and back in the afternoon and evening (when he takes his remedy).

What I want to know is if a clear watery runny nose is a possible proving of Nat Phos, or not? I did not see that as one of the symptoms under the Nat Phos description, but I am certainly no expert. I hope not, since it is helping him considerably, but I believe he still needs it to be totally cured of his acid reflux.

His last dose was last night, and his nose is still runny today. I just don't want to keep giving it to him if he is proving it. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You may also give him 2 tabs of Kali Mur 6x for coryza. This doesn't seem to be proving of Natrum Phos.

Kadwa,

Thanks for the reply. What is coryza? Thanks

coryza means runny nose

Ok, so I'm going to continue with the nat phos, but I will lower from 2 tabs to maybe 1/2 tab and see if it persists.

If runny nose continues, I will try the Kali Mur.

THanks so much

Hi,

Okay so no runny nose this morning. I gave him a 1/2 tab after his lunch about 11:00, and now 4:30, still no runny nose.

So if the runny nose was a proving, it would have happened by now correct?

Runny nose may be a curative discharge. It is not necessarily a proving.

Thanks for reply,

OH I never thought it could have been a curative thing.

Yesterday, we gave him 1/2 tab after lunch and 3/4 tab after dinner. He only had a couple sniffles in evening but nothing really. He also slept better.

Today, nose is not runny so we will continue. Thanks
