Infant Gas, and reflux, and sleep problemsHello,
My son is 3 months old and has been having these problems pretty much since we brought him home from the hospital. He is exclusively breastfed, and is gaining weight appropriately.
He spits up after every feeding, sometimes it is a lot that comes back up and can happen up to 2 hours after eating. He swallows a ton of air when he eats which leads to a lot of gas, which is painful for him. He is always bringing his knees up to his chest and his stomach is always gurgly. I have cut out dairy, soy, and some veggies that cause gas out of my diet. He normally has had about 1 bowel movement per day, but for the past week he has been constipated and has not had any bowel movements. We have tried juice, suppositories, tummy massage, bicycle legs, with no success.
He is also teething now, and we have on an amber teething necklace for him which seems to take the edge off, and we use Hyland's teething tablets sometimes. We have also used Hyland's Colic tablets for the gas, but it doesn't seem to help much.
Sleep has been awful for him recently also. He used to be a good sleeper, but now he refuses to nap. At nights we can get him to bed, but he wakes up about an hour after putting him to bed and it takes an hour to put him back to sleep. He wakes once or twice to eat during the night as well. Sometimes it is hard to put him back to sleep, we think due to his painful gas, but we are not sure. He will not nap during the day, even though he is so sleepy. He yawns and rubs his eyes, but the moment we lay him down he screams so loud and for a long period of time. We don't know what to do anymore.
What would help most with the spitting up a lot, extreme gassiness, and the restlessness/refusing to sleep?

Dissolve 1 pill in 1 teaspoon water and give it to him.

With this do you still think chamomilla is best?

I have tried the chamomilla 6c for a day. He seemed to nap a little better the day following when we started it but is still having some trouble with bed time and also staying asleep. He is also still gassy and has not pooped yet. And does not want to be laid down at all. Should I continue with it 3 times a day?

I have read some of your posts about infant reflux. Is it something I can combine with the chamomilla?

Since you have already read my advice to mothers to treat the GERD their Babies presented, you should know my default protocol using Nat Phos 6x which is not used by other homeopaths as I pioneered in using this remedy which I have prescribed and has been used by hundreds of mothers for their babies.
If you would like me to advice you further, please post your query on my Website:
I am making this request as I do not wish to enter into any argument with Zady who is already treating your Baby as I have had some unpleasantness with him in the past, when I treated a case that he was handling unsuccessfully.

'Jenn: You are most welcome to try Joe's allopathy.'
I would like to comment on your concept of equating my 'Joepathy' to allopathy while you sanctimoniously classify your own brand of therapy to 'classical' homeopathy.
If you or anyone who reads this post compares the thousands of cases I have been consulted on by patients on the ABC since it was first founded by its owner Simon Broadley and other Homeopathic Forums including my own Website which I visit as a Consultant, it will be obvious to all who are interested, that your own brand of 'classical' homeopathy which you prescribe to unsuspecting patients does not CURE the ailment in comparison to my own 'Joepathy' which seems to CURE the patient in a very short time frame. You will notice that the number of cases where I have not succeeded are extremely few in comparison to the large majority of cases you have pontificated on, which have invariably resulted in abject failure which compels the patient to either fade away from the ABC or to seek alternative advice to cure the ailment.
It is true that I do use the Allopathic APPROACH to identify the remedy for a given disease or ailment in a 'This for That' manner which you may like to know is not used only by me in my Joepathy.
You are perhaps not aware that Dr Prasanta Banerji and his son Pratap Banerji who own and operate the Prasanta Banerji Homeopathic Research Foundation in Kolkata where they treat over 1500 patients Daily Free of Charge, also use the same identical Clinical approach to CURING the patient's disease. These 2 qualified Homeopaths are accepted worldwide and the fact that they treat 1500 patients daily is an obvious indication that the therapy that both they use and I use, is by far more positive in CURING the patient in comparison to your own brand of classical homeopathy where the patient is expected to use the remedy you prescribe and report his response weekly.
You are invited to visit:
PRASANTA BANERJI HOMEOPATHIC RESEARCH FOUNDATION
I have avoided visiting the ABC on a daily basis as I was sick and tired of having to waste my time with pompous types like you who criticise me even after the patient confirms having being cured as was the case with David Kempson aka Brisbane Homeopath who seems to have left this forum shortly after his accident. He was hypercritical of my Joepathy which he too could not equate in the number of CURES in comparison to his own brand of Hyperclassical homeopathy.
Others too have also criticised my efforts at helping suffering humanity like Gavini Murthy, who I hope reads this post and you may like to know that after many arguments dating back over a Decade on this Forum and others, Gavini had the magnanimity to state:
'You must have observed that I am not the die hard classical homeopath any more.
I now appreciate that homeopathic medicines are capable of curing even when used in the non classical way.
I do resent your statements a few months ago on this ABC where you accused me of Hijacking your thread simply because you were the first to respond to the patient and felt therefore that you owned the right to prescribe to the patient. I then informed you that your contention was NOT correct as this is a Forum open to the world and to anyone who had the ability of suggesting a remedy. It was only when I discovered that your therapy had not helped the patient that I suggested an alternative remedy which cured him and resulted in your outburst
I would appreciate if you do NOT interfere with my posts in future as it will invariably result in a rebuttal of your statement which will only serve to belittle and lower your own standing in the eyes of members of the ABC.
