Infant Gas, and reflux, and sleep problemsHello,
My son is 3 months old and has been having these problems pretty much since we brought him home from the hospital. He is exclusively breastfed, and is gaining weight appropriately.
He spits up after every feeding, sometimes it is a lot that comes back up and can happen up to 2 hours after eating. He swallows a ton of air when he eats which leads to a lot of gas, which is painful for him. He is always bringing his knees up to his chest and his stomach is always gurgly. I have cut out dairy, soy, and some veggies that cause gas out of my diet. He normally has had about 1 bowel movement per day, but for the past week he has been constipated and has not had any bowel movements. We have tried juice, suppositories, tummy massage, bicycle legs, with no success.
He is also teething now, and we have on an amber teething necklace for him which seems to take the edge off, and we use Hyland's teething tablets sometimes. We have also used Hyland's Colic tablets for the gas, but it doesn't seem to help much.
Sleep has been awful for him recently also. He used to be a good sleeper, but now he refuses to nap. At nights we can get him to bed, but he wakes up about an hour after putting him to bed and it takes an hour to put him back to sleep. He wakes once or twice to eat during the night as well. Sometimes it is hard to put him back to sleep, we think due to his painful gas, but we are not sure. He will not nap during the day, even though he is so sleepy. He yawns and rubs his eyes, but the moment we lay him down he screams so loud and for a long period of time. We don't know what to do anymore.
What would help most with the spitting up a lot, extreme gassiness, and the restlessness/refusing to sleep?

Dissolve 1 pill in 1 teaspoon water and give it to him.
Do this 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, night) for 1 day only and update me.

With this do you still think chamomilla is best?

I have tried the chamomilla 6c for a day. He seemed to nap a little better the day following when we started it but is still having some trouble with bed time and also staying asleep. He is also still gassy and has not pooped yet. And does not want to be laid down at all. Should I continue with it 3 times a day?

I have read some of your posts about infant reflux. Is it something I can combine with the chamomilla?

Since you have already read my advice to mothers to treat the GERD their Babies presented, you should know my default protocol using Nat Phos 6x which is not used by other homeopaths as I pioneered in using this remedy which I have prescribed and has been used by hundreds of mothers for their babies.
If you would like me to advice you further, please post your query on my Website:
I am making this request as I do not wish to enter into any argument with Zady who is already treating your Baby as I have had some unpleasantness with him in the past, when I treated a case that he was handling unsuccessfully.
