chipping in molars and pain

Hello,

About an year ago, I started sensing some chipping in one of my molars, with my tongue. At the time, I visited dentist for teeth sensitivity and he ignored this problem or rather did not suggest anything for chipping.
Sensitivity continues in my teeth and since about three weeks, I am getting pain in the chipped molar, not exactly in the tooth but I guess its in the gum. the pain has come down since (cud be because of following some home remedies) but while brushing, sometimes the brush touches an inflamed area which results in excruciating pain.
It is the second last molar on top and the chipping is on top corner(just below the gum and between last and this tooth).
Secondly, since a couple of days, I am also sensing slight pain in one of the bottom incisors, although there is no sign of cavity.
The dentist has prescribed root canal which I want to avoid at all costs.
I am not clear about the exact location of pain and the exact extent of problem. Seeking guidance from a doctor/expert on what should be my further course of action.

Mr. Anuj,

I really appreciate your advice and the fact that you've been responding to my queries promptly.
There was some confusion yesterday and I later got to know that the pharmacist did not have hekla lava in liquid form. He in fact told me that it does not come in liquid form. I tried with three more pharmacies and they all did not have the hakla lava in liquid form.
I did start with the hacla lava 3x pills as you prescribed, but without following up with local application. The pharmacist suggested one by name of plantane (if i heard it right). Pl guide.

Hello Mr Anuj,

I started taking hekla lava 3x tablets since Thur night and application of liquid (hekla lava 30) since Sunday. The pain has subsided and is mild now. The swelling in mouth has also come down. Do I begin taking Calcarea Fluorica 6x ? Also, do I continue with with hekla lava?

Regards.

I have been continuing the same, orally 3 pills three times a day and applying liquid heklalava 30 three times a day. Now the pain is almost gone except on touching or when I eat anything sweet or don't rinse my mouth after eating.
Thanks a lot and please suggest on further.

I have been taking calc flour since 4 days (although I realised I was taking only 3 pills and not 5). Am applying liquid thrice a day.
The pain comes on touching and while brushing. Secondly, the sensitivity (especially on infected molar) seems to have increased and I find it difficult to even drink water.
Am I correct in understanding that heklalava was to cure infection?
If yes, do I assume that since the pain has reduced, the infection is taken care of?
How will calc flour help?
Kindly help me understand. Secondly, please help me deal with this problem on a long term basis. as the tooth is chipped, the food particles get stuck there whenever I eat. How do I prevent infection other that rinsing mouth and brushing regularly? Should I go for filling from a dentist!
Will really appreciate your guidance and thanks again!

filling is a good option.

i wanted to prevent root canalling--in case you feel there is infection and blood is oozing pls have silicea 6x,three times.

calc flour has power to repair chipped enamel and reduce sensitivity,so cont to have it.if the pain increases stop calc and have hecla lava till you feel normal with your molar.
