humming in head after birth of child

1. Describe your main suffering?
humming in head that comes and goes in cycles, causing dull headache and distraction


2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body? fatigue from humming.



3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings? sometimes i get very sad and very tired from sound.


4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
sadness because i cannot understand what brought this upon me. i am afraid to have another child because i feel like the humming will get worse

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease? all started 2 months after the birth of my child. I had postpartum depression/anxiety. I took medication for the depression and anxiety and am off medications now. I no longer suffer from the postpartum symptoms, but the humming.



6. Which time of the day you are worst? in the morning

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same? i am not sure. The sound comes and goes in cycles. At times the noise is completely gone and i think I am cured. Then, slowly I will start to hear a little bit of the noise and then it get full blown to where it is distracting, and it makes me tired and sad.



8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)? Possibly change in hormones after birth of child?



9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
No difference if humming is present

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
I am quiet, sometimes lazy.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm? NO FEELINGS.

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times? YES

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc? YES

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc? NO

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife? I LOVE MY FAMILY ESPECIALLY MY DAUGHTER AND HUSBAND

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly? I FEAR THAT I WILL NOT IMPROVE MY LIFE ANYMORE DUE TO THE HUMMING


12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions? I CRAVE SWEETS AND CARBS


13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive? normal

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand? NO

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs? normal

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type? normal

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping? I sleep well. NO


19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general? NO. LOW LIBIDO

20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all? im afraid that i have this humming in my head that no one else has. it will never go away and i will die with it.


21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication? NONE


22. What major diseases are running in your family? asthma, HTN


23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance

black hair, 5'3, 140 lbs, olive complexion, excessive fat in stomach area, dark circles around eyes.

(Please give details of your past menstruation if you have attained menopause.)
- Are the periods early, regular or late in general? LATE
How long do they last? 3-4 DAYS
- Do you suffer from any kind of physical or mental discomfort before, during or after the periods? NO
- Is the flow scanty, normal or excessive? NORMAL
- Is the blood thick bright red or pale watery? NORMAL
- Do you notice any clots in the flow?SOMETIMES

Did you have the humming before you started taking
the anti-depressants or after?

Sometimes this is a side effect of the anti-depressant and
you can take a remedy to remove the drug effects out of
your system.
