The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Please help, facial hair loss

Hi, I'm recently experiencing patches of facial hair loss. It is mostly on my left side, some on my right.

Some of the spots have dandruff, and are going gray.

It's not circular specifically, some are lines of missing hair, or some weird shapes. It's spread across. The sidez are probably a quarter of a dime, except for one line which is like almost an inch but maybe vertically 2 mm high.

I have been going through stress so that might be a factor, I am not sure. I also had a very bad cold (might have even been the flu, though I don't think I had a fever) which turned into bronchitis. This might've sparked the hair loss I have heard.

My diet has not been great, For the last half a year or so I had nothing but chicken and beans. I realize that this is not the best way to approach nutrition and have been adding more food.

I have read that phosphorus 200 has helped some people, I was wondering if I can try this.

Also, is 200 the same as 200c and 200ck?

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering?

Patchy hair loss in my beard, specifically my left side. I do see some dandruff and greying in some of the areas of hair falling out.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

I started losing my scalp hair (male pattern baldness) at age 14. Post nasal drip/sinusitis, GERD/Acid Reflux/ and acne when eating certain foods.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

I have been going through some stress, and when I noticed the hair falling out, the stress is increased.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?

I have Acid Reflux which I believe stems from taking antibiotics, I feel a pressure in my chest.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?

The patches of hair lost started about a month or so ago, and it mightve started since I had a bad cold/flu that led to bronchitis a month earlier than when I noticed it. Also stress in general has been higher around then, which might've contributed,

6. Which time of the day you are worst?

No real change for a certain time. When I lie down however the GERD can get quite apparent.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?

Nothing in particular.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

No...

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?

I prefer cold weather over hot weather, dry weather over humid weather.

I talk to myself every now and then, like thinking out loud. no nail biting or causeless weeping.

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?

My immediate family I do not enjoy spending time around. I have good friends.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?

Nothing I can think of off the top of my head...

Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it. I will look into Nux-C 200.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you come across to this helping with hair loss on the beard exactly?

http://www.joedelivera.com/?p=254

I see he has his own way of helping this issue. Then I also read topics that Phosphorus is good.

Of course I appreciate all help, just trying to understand how this works.

Also, regarding the Nux-V, would liquid be better than pellets? It's a lot more expensive. Would pellets be ok?

How much is a single dose, whether it's pellets or liquid?

There are lots of things to consider before prescribing. You need to do a very detailed study before you could do analysis and prescribe. I don't mind, if you first want to use phosphorus, you got all the details on the link , so you may follow it.

Its your choice.

If you want to buy liquid or pellets.

If medicine in pellets, 4 pellets makes a dose.

If in liquid, 2 drops of medicine in 3 teasepone of water, sip up slowly.

Also, I would like to know if you are married? If yes, then you are giving more time to your friends than family, kindly confirm (this is related to your remedy).

No, no I am not married.

Would you be ok if I try Phosphorus 200 first?

I heard somewhere that if someone uses Phosphorus 200 then other homeopathy drugs dont work anymore. I don't know if this is a myth, though?

Thank you for your response. I have went to a local homeopathic store and have bought phosphorus 200c. However the box says 'dry cough 200c' -- is there different types of phosphorus 200c? or does the label not matter?

The ingredients say 50% alcohol, 30ml. Is the amount of alcohol right? It might be weird to ask, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to make sure.

The one thing that I am confused of is how long to take it, for instance I seen the other topic say take a dose just once and stop. The person took a dose twice a day for 3 days. I seen other websites where someone took it three times a day once every two weeks. This doctorhowever is telling me to take 15 drops twice daily, indefinitely. Might you think this is too much? Can taking too much Phosphorus 200c cause complications of any sort?

The phosphorus 200c was my idea, but the doctor of the homeopathic store also reommended Kali Phosph 6X. Are you ok with that?

As always I appreciate the help.

The Label doesn't matter.

Homeo medicines are preserved in alocohol, so it is very much normal.

It depends, for which symptoms you are taking the medicine. Some people prescribe for daily 3x use, some use it once or twice a week, some prefer wet dose, so it all depends on you. Also the number of drops, it is absolutely your choice.

The phosphorus 200c was my idea, but the doctor of the homeopathic store also reommended Kali Phosph 6X. Are you ok with that?

Its ok - you may take kali phos alongwith phosphorus, no harm at all.

Hi,

I would love some input here, if anyone has some to share I'd appreciate it.

I'm using Phos 200c, Since about early Jan. I have been doing 15 drops 3x daily, for one week, then one week off. It has been a little over three weeks and I have seen new hairs sprouting. Not in every single spot to fill up the patches, but I have noticed new hairs.

My question is, should I continue doing this since I see some hairs growing in? Or should I stop for some reason? I see some people recommend Phos or some other homeopathy and tell them to stop after one or two doses. Should I continue or stop?

Thanks for any information.
