.Attn Dr Mahfooz infected upper inner lip on infantHello, my 8 month old is just learning to pull himself up on furniture and such. He fell 3 days ago, and tore the little connecting tissue from the gum to the upper lip. It bled a lot, and now it is infected. The gum area where the connector piece was is worse than the upper lip connector. His lip is swollen, but not red and he does not cry if I touch the outside of the lip. The main issue is it smells very very bad, much, much worse than it actually looks. He has a fever of 101 but he also has a cold, I do not think the fever is from the infection, but it could be. He is also cutting his two top front teeth. He is still breastfeeding, and on food, but currently since he has got the infection, only wants to eat mashed up fresh fruit or salad greens. I have tried potatoes, carrots, goose meat, duck meat, oatmeal and kefir. He is nursing a lot, more than usual. Thanks so much!

I have been given advice from someone else, I have followed that advice, I will let you know how it goes. It was Arnica 200c one dose. The smell is much better, but he does have an upper chest cold and very thin watery nose, the fever is gone, but still very irritable. I am sorry that I forgot to take this post down, I am very grateful for the advice.
I do have another issue that needs attention, I have a 3 year old, she keeps getting every flu bug that hits. Her weight has gone down due to being ill now for the 3rd time. She will be puking now again for 2 days, and have a 102 fever for 3-4 days and then she is better for a couple weeks, and then someone else will come over with another flu bug, and she'll pick that one up as well. I have given her 2 doses of belladonna 30ch because of the fever, and she really craves lemonade and lemons when she is sick and I know that is a belladonna trait. If you need more info I can give it to you.
Again, I am sorry about not removing this post, and you have given great advice, I appreciate your time, sorry again.
