This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Unless the patient directly responds to the questions, I can't prescribe. Its a futile exercise as we may or may not have the right remedy.

Q-2: Explain persistent cough, when is it better or worse e.g. day, night, lying etc
It is worse when out in cold weather, getting cold, running around. Mostly during the day. A little at night before going to sleep. No cough when sleeping.

Similarly, post nasal
Post nasal is constant, had it for the past 2 months + , took 1 serie of antibiotics (2 months ago) did not help at all, nasal spray helped a little, not much, stopped that too.

Phlegm buildup where
Phlegm build up is in the back of the throat.

Q-2: Details of phlegm color, type etc
Clear, occasionally greenish/yellow

Give him two doses of Calc-Carb 200c, 12 hrs apart and report back.
fitness 6 years ago
Took his second dose this morning. Cough still same, no improvements.
Mika80 6 years ago
Wait 48 hrs and then update.

Hi, 48 hours later
Cough improvement 0%
Post nasal drip 0%

This is so typical when I don't get the full details!

Give details of expectoration i.e. phlegm color, sticky, lumpy, blood etc.

Give details of sneezing, what makes it worse & better

How does the cough respond to sitting, lying, sleeping, talking, exertion

Present emotions
fitness 6 years ago
Clear phlegm
Sneezing only when getting chilled, no sneezing otherwise.
Cough responds to talking or activities throughout the day.
Present emotions, depressed, sad.
Mika80 6 years ago
sticky, lumpy, blood etc.?

What do you mean cough responds to activities?
fitness 6 years ago
Phlegm loose, mostly watery.
If he does activies, walks, runs, talks, gets excited cough starts. If he is relaxed, sits down or during sleep much less or none.
Mika80 6 years ago
Give him two doses of Nat-Mur 200c, 12 hrs apart.
fitness 6 years ago
Thank you, will try.

If a remedy works but then the symptom comes back it means it wasnt the right one?
Just asking because Kali bichrome helped, he stopped coughing but came back a week after he stopped, maybe he just got cold again, dont know?
Mika80 6 years ago
It could mean a couple of things e.g. its palliative not curative, if curative then repeat dose is required or higher potency is required etc
fitness 6 years ago
Should we try that again or the new one? That was a high dose of 200, 6 pellets 2x/day. My husband was impressed with the fact that it stopped his cough (after several days of taking them) but a week after he stopped taking them cough has returned.
Mika80 6 years ago
Considering the dose, its unlikely that it was the right remedy. I'd try the new one.
fitness 6 years ago
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Mika80 6 years ago
48 hours after second dose.
Improvement of cough 0%
Improvement of post nasal drip 0%

I dont understand why nothing is working for my husband? :(
Mika80 6 years ago
The correct remedy will work and that happens when the patient replies in DETAIL to all that is asked and MORE.

A lot of cases fail because internet doesn't let me see the patient, I rely on what is being told.

In your husband's case I knew from the start that it is an unlikely case to be successful, still I went ahead against my better judgment.

Just have a look at the halfhearted replies he has given. I won't be surprised if some are given by you instead of him.
