Silicea

I am taking Silicea orally (liquid form one tablespoon per day) for my skin and nails.
I have been taking it for about 3 months now. I am unsure how long I need to take it for, should I take breaks from it etc.
I also take other supplements etc, and am having a hard time finding out information for lenght of treatments. Does anyone know any good sources?
