Phosphorus for emotional symptoms in 9 yo child 3

The ABC Homeopathy Forum

3yo emotional

My 3yo has recently become very emotional, she is crying at the drop of a hat, for any reason it seems. Tells me she will cry under the table, or will leave me, or she will hide and Ill never find her. She has an older sister (6) that is very competitive with her, and takes toys off her, must have the biggest and best of everything, must be the first between them. 3yo likes attention, dances and sings and we must always be watching her. They both are always vying for my attention.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
This looks like the kind of case I often deal with in clinic. I would be willing to try and prescribe an appropriate remedy if you are willing to answer a full set of questions for me.

Alright I will look at this today or tomorrow. I may have a few more questions.

Evocationer 9 years ago
Actually this doesn't look too hard. I think you should try Pulsatilla 200c. Are you able to get hold of this. Let me know when you have it and I will give you instructions on how to give it to her.

Evocationer 9 years ago
Yep, I have pulsatilla. I was also thinking Carcinicum, on the thinking of sensative to reprimand and the dancing/singing, what do you think?

AusAlly 9 years ago
Why do you have pulsatilla? Have you used this before?

The core state of Pulsatilla is to be forsaken, to weep and to ask for attention. Pulsatilla wants to be number 1 in the lap of their parents. They cannot be alone, they cling to their mother, they will not sleep alone.

The core state of Carcinosin is perfectionism, a need to get everything right and in order, to be the good child. They always strive to be the best they can be, and crave the attention that goes with being the best and most well-behaved child. The tend to hold their feelings in, but then they will burst out in a rush, as one of its main themes is repression.

Evocationer 9 years ago
I have been using homeopathy for over 20 years. I have a small collection of remedies, especially first aid remedies.

Yes Pulsatilla sounds just. I will try and feedback
thanks

AusAlly 9 years ago
If you have 200c, give one dose only. It also needs to be given as a liquid dose not a dry dose. Dissolve 1 pillule into a small amount of water (100mls). Stir thoroughly and give her 1 teaspoon. Let me know what happens.

Evocationer 9 years ago
Has there been any kind of reaction as yet?

Evocationer 9 years ago
Hi, sorry for the delay. Yes I did a wet dose of 200c, and it worked well. thank you.

AusAlly 9 years ago
That is great to hear. Could you give me a summary of the reaction for my own records?

Evocationer 9 years ago
She just became less emotioanl. She still continues to be very needy for me, she needs me to sleep beside her to get to sleep. If she wakes up in the middle of the night (most nights) she runs into my room crying and calling for me. Once she is with me, she is ok. When I posted this, she was just having random breakdowns, if someone told her No, if she didnt get her own way, if you just looked at her the wrong way. These breakdowns have stopped, however she still continues to be very very sensative. If i raise my voice even a tiny bit she cries and tells me she 'wants to hide' Ive come to accept this behaviour, it might just be who she is, but the breakdowns were not in character and hard work for me. I hope this helps?

AusAlly 9 years ago
Ive just posted something for myself in the forum, I hope you can take a look. It might shed some light on this situation as well. thanks.

AusAlly 9 years ago
Alright, it is ok for a start but there is a lot left to do yet. Give her one more dose and let me know in a week what has happened.

Evocationer 9 years ago
thanks

AusAlly 9 years ago
no change in usual behaviour. Just this morning I was in the bathroom, she realised I wasnt in the room with her, she runs around the house calling mummy and getting distressed when im not there. She wasnt alone, she had her sister and dad with her. She woke seemingly from a bad dream crying saying i left her.

AusAlly 9 years ago
Hmmm...interesting. Only a partial response. It may be that the Pulsatilla was more of an acute remedy for her. I take it she is now in her 'normal' state and the newer symptoms have now disappeared?

Evocationer 9 years ago
something new of late - she wants her belly rubbed, at the dinner table, when she is watching movies, and especially when she goes to sleep. This has been happening for maybe the last 3 weeks.

AusAlly 9 years ago
..............

AusAlly 9 years ago
If I haven't answered within a day or two, post again to bring it to the top of the forum. I can lose track of posts here because of the number of cases I am watching.

So in terms of the questions I asked - Is she now in her more 'normal' state and the new symptoms disappeared?

Evocationer 9 years ago
yes, thats correct, thank you

AusAlly 9 years ago
This behaviour still seems indicative of Pulsatilla though. There are other remedies that cling to the mother however, but considering she got a positive result from this remedy I would be loathe to change it too quickly.

So my advice would be to obtain 1M and we can see if that shifts her any further. If not I will retake the case and consider the other clingy remedies we have (there are 14 of them).

Evocationer 9 years ago
I will do that, thanks.

AusAlly 9 years ago
So what has been the result so far of using 1M?
