Dog kidney disease

my doghas elevated creatinine 13.4. doctors say he has severe kidney failure and don't see much hope. He has been vomiting continuously and seems dehydrated. He is on IV (DNS) every second day and perinorm for nausea. He drinks water occasionally and seems as if he wants to eat food, but turns his head away when food is given. I forcefully feed him little cerelac 3-4 times a day. He is also hesitant to pee and his motion is also very infrequent.

Can anything be given to him to reduce nausea? How to increase his appetite? What to feed him if and when he starts eating. How long should I continue the IV fluids? What to give for his kidney failure? Please somebody help.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Give him Ipeacac 30c for nausea after 15-20 min from meal, Avena sativa 30c and Sebal Serru 30c 30 mins before his meals. Give him food very little amount but after every hour with a bit more patience. Give less meat at this stage. Try to provide IV Potassium saline to keep him calm and hydrated.

Ipeacac 30 2 drops of medicine mixing with a 1/2cup of water give him 4 times a day 20min after every meal.

Avena sat 30 3 drops at noon and night and Sebal serru 30 3 drops at morning and evening 30 min before meal.

Dear Dr. Showrav,

Thank you for your response!

To clarify, I am to give him Ipeacac 30c (2 drops mixed in 1/2 cup of water), and give this four times a day, 20 mins after each meal, right? That is, a total of 8 drops in a day.

I am also to give Avena Sativa 30c, 3 drops at noon and night, and Sebal Serru 30c, 3 drops at morning and evening, 30 mins before meal. Do i give this directly, or mix it in water and give?

As I said, he is currently on IV (Dextrose and Sodium Chloride). Should I continue it, or should I switch to Lactated Ringer's Solution?

I am attaching a copy of his last blood report. As you can see, he is also anaemic. Can we give him something for improving his blood quality/hemoglobin count also? Can you also tell me for which specific problem of Sandy would Ipeacac, Avena Sativa and Sebal Sarru focus on?

Dear Dr. Showrav,

Further to my post, I bought the three medicines. The spellings on the labels were slightly different, so am hesitant to give the medicines before confirming with you. Am uploading the images herewith, please confirm if the medicines I bought are the same that you have prescribed.

Regards,

U have collected rightly of those medicines and about dosing of those medicines ur conception was also right. last two medicine u have to mix with a half cup of water to give ur pet.

Ipecacuanha is for Nausea.
Sebal and Avena is for decreasing S. Creatine.

Provide some liver of birds to eat to him for increasing hemoglobin and continue those IV saline for him. One more thing to inform u that during the saline u cannot give him food to eat. It may cause nausea. Provide him food at least after 2 hours from stopping saline.

Dear Dr Showrav,

Thank you for your response!

Will start the treatment from today morning itself and update you. He is also having difficulty to keep standing, and it appears his rear legs don't have the strength to hold him up. could his kidney failure be the reason for this?

Hip displacia is a common disease to four footed animal. It could be bcs of that otherwise this is bcs of excessive weakness of his body and nothing else. I know the treatment of that hip problem too as I have treated my rabbits with those problem last year for 2 days only. Don't get worried. he will be fine if god have some more days to give him to live with u. What breed of dog he is?

He is a male labrador, six years old. He also has hip displasia, and patellar dislocation for which he was operated upon. But he walked slowly for short distances. However, since his kidney disease was identified, he is unable to stand up even, let alone walk. He also accidentally passed urine twice inside the house last 2-3 days, something which he has never done since he was trained.

Dear Dr. Showrav
Despite our best efforts we could not save sandy and he passed away yesterday morning. We buried him in a pet cemetery.

May his soul rest in peace.

Thank you for all your help

Sorry to hear that news of Sandy. It seems you were too late to post it here and have responded by any one else. Doctors always try their best to save a life but they are not God. Store those medicines in cool dark place away from sunlight and heat. In advance it may prove useful to u or others. may he rest in peace.
