This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
How you came to know that your baby is having acid reflux?.

He has all the reflux symptoms:
* spits up after every feeding, sometimes thicker/sour stuff
* vomits pretty often
* have a frequent hiccups
* seems very uncomfortable, cries, arches his back

Give her small feeding at a time.

You should put your baby on shoulder and give some slap on her back.

If you want to try Nat Phos then you should try it in 30 potency not Nat Phos 6x.

I've read on this forum about Nat Phos 6x and how it helps babies with the reflux.
Could you please explain why I should go with Nat Phos 30 and not 6x?
Also how often and what dosage should I give to my baby?

Thank you.

The use of Nat-phos for reflux in babies is not homoeopathy. It is a kind of allopathic treatment (similar to orthodox medical philosophy) that Mr. Joe De Livra champions, and he has his own website, which you could google.

Homoeopathy gives specific remedies based on the symptoms presented by the patient, rather than one remedy for all patients with a particular named condition. It is up to you which approach you want to pursue. Mr. De Livra should probably be contacted directly if you want to go down that path.

I do not visit the ABC on a regular basis and came across your reference to me and the therapy I have pioneered aka “Joepathy” using Nat Phos 6x which has helped many babies to overcome their Baby GERD and reflux in a few hours.

I am not a professional homeopath unlike the majority of advisors on this forum. I have not graduated in classical homeopathy but have studied the same text books used in college. It was when I found that using the standard classical therapy did not cure the patient, I decided to use my own variation of this therapy and the results are all recorded on this website and on mine (www.joedelivera.com) to enable anyone who reads the many cases I have CURED to use my therapy.

I shall copy my default therapy for Baby GERD which I have prescribed to hundreds of babies and which I hope will help your baby too.

The remedy that has proved to be very effective for Baby GERD is:

Nat Phos 6x tablet dissolved in milk given immediately after a feed. Start with half tablet but if the response is not as expected, you may increase to a full tablet but you will not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours.

You may like to try to reduce the quantity of milk you give for each feed to enable baby’s digestion to stabilize. You will however feed more often. It is essential that you burp baby immediately after each feed.

You will avoid eating all food that can cause any distress to baby. You must know that they are passed on to baby through your breast milk.

It is best not to vaccinate Baby till s/he is over a year old as the after effects in some cases can add to the problems with GERD.
Do not give Baby any solid food till s/he is over 8 months of age.

You (the mother) will take Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets after each of 3 meals daily. The idea is that your milk will pass the effect to baby. You may like to know that Nat Phos 6x will help to reduce your weight by 1kg per week very safely.
Report progress in 24 hours and as often as you wish on this thread.

If you discover that baby does not respond to the Nat Phos 6x alone and this has occurred in a few cases, you will contact me again and I shall then prescribe another remedy to reinforce the action of Nat Phos 6x.

Generally I do not give any homeopathic medicine below 30 potency child less than six months of age as they contain some crud drug in it.

Usehomeopathy 9 years ago
Once it has reached 12c there is no trace of the physical substance left, so that would probably be considered the safe point when using substances that are dangerous in crude form.

Mind you even at 6c it is pretty dilute and I have never seen any problem with this potency.

I want to thank both of you for a quick reply.
We have already started with 6x and my baby is much better now regarding the reflux symptoms however he is very gassy now.
Is there anything we can do about that?
Would the Nat Phos 30 prevent the gas?

Thank you!

Do NOT give baby Nat Phos 30c as it cannot be confused with Nat Phos 6x which is a Biochemic Cell Salt and works in baby's stomach in a manner that cannot be equalled by any other remedy.

You are invited to visit my website:
www.joedelivera.com
and read the accounts of over a hundred mothers who have used it for their babies and confirmed that it had helped in a manner that some considered as miraculous !

You have already discovered in a few days that baby has improved and this improvement will continue in the future and you can expect his digestion to stabilize in a few weeks.

Mr De Livera,
I will continue with the Nat Phos 6x.
Do you think it will eliminate the gas issue as well?

Thank you!

You will appreciate that the mother has to report the response of her baby to the therapy prescribed to enable the consultant to advise as and when necessary.

You have stated yesterday that:
'my baby is much better now regarding the reflux symptoms however he is very gassy now.”

This improvement in baby’s condition is within 24 hours and if he still refluxes his feed, it is up to you to state so. What do you mean by “gassy”? Does he still pass gas?

Joe De Livera 9 years ago
He doesn't spit up as much as he used to, but it seems like his belly is still bodering him and he pass a lot of gas with difficulty.
Thank you

Kate17 9 years ago
Are you breast feeding him?
If so try to give him shorter feeds but more often. You will burp him after every feed.

It is possible that his passing gas is due to some problem associated with the bacteria in his gut which should resolve itself in a few days.

In any event I do not think that passing gas should present any problem unlike Baby GERD which fortunately your own baby does not suffer from.

I do both: breast feeding & formula (Similac Sensitive).

Thank you.
