Dog with Anal Gland Protrusion
Hello, I wonder if you doctors that I so greatly respect can help with my dog, a 30lb terrier who is recovering from a spinal surgery. After the surgery while still in the hospital he was having stress diarrhea and developed a swelling from the right side of his rectum, about 3 centimeters. It is not ulcered. It is quite red and also there is red around the area extending below. Please can someone suggest something? Two vets here have recommended another surgery, they say it is benign, but he has gone through so much. Personality: He is highly smart, wants attention, startles easily, fiercely protective, did not complain in pain (stoic) when disks were ruptured, now very unhappy about being confined....very scared and pacing when crated. (he always freaks out in a crate) Now when in pain or stressed from crating he trembles and pants. Loves the outdoors. He takes remedies well. I give Hyland's Nerve Tonic daily. I give him hypericum and arnica post op daily. Please help him. He is the best dog ever. Thank you so much for your talents and help to so many people in the world.

Hello Doctors, Please if you have any other ideas, there is no change in the mass, it is pink and oval protrusion from the anus, he is not itching, but the vets would like to remove it, please does anyone have any other ideas? Thank you. I will keep giving the cell salts until I hear another idea. Best to you all. P.V.

Dr. Srivastava,
Thank you for your response. I am noticing after 3 days of the remedy that his front legs are trembling today and that did not occur before. Is it possible that the remedy is causing this, and should I continue? I am worried for him.
Thank you.

Thank You Dr. Srivastava,
I will stop starting tomorrow.
I only gave him 2 doses today.
We still see no change in the rectal area. It is still quite swollen. I will report back.
I have discontinued the cell salts but will do whatever you advise. Thank you very much.
