low iron count with pregnancy

Hello I am pregnant and have very low iron count. Can anyone tell me what I can do? I don't want to take the iron pills because they cause constipation and I already suffer from that.
Also I have a high white blood cell count that is going up, I am very worried about that. My doctor can't do too much but I am worried about that also. Any replies I would appreciate.

Hi Jade Ann, I would suggest taking tissue salts "ferr. phos. and calc. phos. Try and eat lots of green leafy veg as well.Enjoy your pregnancy!

Thanks Livvy! I will try that. Any advice on inflammation of the colon? It is very painful with pregnancy because the uterus is pushing down on the colon.
Thank you
