dengue fever prophylaxis

Hi
I'm a medical herbalist travelling to Peru in a couple of weeks and building up a travel kit of medicines. Dengue fever is an increasing risk in Peru and apart from the usual precautions I was investigating possible homeopathic prophylaxis. I have read some good evidence for Euphonium perfoliatum, but am unclear on potency- should I take 30c or 200c, and if so how frequently?
Many thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Sorry that should have read Eupatorium!

Re: Dengue treatment and prevention From Joe De Livera on 2013-11-20
I shall copy below the remedy I have prescribed to many hundreds of patients which has CURED them usually in 24 hours. Patients have confirmed that they noticed a distinct reduction of their body aches and headache in 3 hours and that their Platelet count rises with every dose by 1000.

The Remedy is Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200c in the Wet dose taken as prescribed below:
First dose 20ml or about 2 tablespoonfuls
Thereafter a capful or 5ml taken every 2 hours

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
If the Liquid Dilution is not available you may use 6 pellets of the remedy to save time in getting the Liquid Dilution as the patient must be given the remedy ASAP.

Do not give the patient any drugs including Paracetemol as it will affect the liver-

Don't take 200c for prophylaxis. You should be using low potencies - 12c would be my suggestion, and certainly nothing higher than 30c.

Potency relates to something we call peculiarity in homoeopathy, as well as to the intensity. The higher you go, the more peculiar aspects of the medicine the patient should show, and the stronger the disease state.

For prevention you have no symptoms as yet, no actual disease, so there are no peculiars and no intensity at all. The safest and most reliable way to use a medicine this way is via the low potencies.

I have often suggested China for this same kind of prophylaxis.

Thank you Simone for having copied my 'Joepathy' for the treatment of Dengue and also for use as a prophylactic. I emphasize the term Joepathy as my therapy is based on the 'This for That' approach which as you are aware is parallel to the Banerji Protocol. In any case I am not able to waste time on the 2 hour questionnaire as I am woken up sometimes at night to give the remedy to an anxious parent who child is warded in the Children's Hospital which is 5 minutes from my residence in Colombo where the nursing staff are aware of the efficacy of my 'Pirith Wathura' or Blessed Water (by Buddhist monks). This is the only water that it permitted to be taken into the ICU of the Hospital.

You may like to know that I have been spearheading the movement of the medical profession from their using Paracetamol and later Saline and still later Oxygen as a last resort to using the ONE Homeopathic remedy that will CURE Dengue. I am proud to state that I have given over 500 bottles of medicated water into which I insert 2 drops of the Eupat Perf 200 and I have not lost a single patient. I must add that I give the remedy free of charge in all cases.

The doctors whom I have addressed at various seminars on the treatment of Dengue have been impressed by my categoric statement that 'I CURE Dengue' . Many of them have accepted my remedy which they have used unofficially on their own patients and they have ALL reported that this remedy water is indeed the way to go to CURE Dengue in Sri Lanka where it is at an Epidemic level and has been so for the last 3 years. The government hospitals have at least 500 patients daily and they are powerless to cure Dengue which they treat according to the instructions they have received from the Medical Council which prohibits the use of any other drug other than what they have been ordered to use, Paracetemol. The after effects of this drug are pitiful and it is only if the patient is fortunate enough to get and use the bottle of medicated water that I am always ready to give them free of charge, they are cured within just 3 HOURS when the Headache, Bodyache leave them and if they are unconscious, they wake up from their coma. The fever takes about 12 hours to go down to normal. The Platelet count of the patient increases rapidly at the rate of 2500 per hour after the second dose and continues to do so till the patient stabilizes at around 150000 in 2-3 days.

I note that David has chipped in and suggested the use of this remedy at 30c but I have used it during my experimental stage about 3 years ago and now have sufficient proof to prescribe the 200c in the Wet dose as the preferred potency for Prophylaxis.

Please note that Deoshlok who is a qualified Homeopath also prescribes this potency.
