Acute pain due to piles and fissure
My name Sanjay. I am 49 years old living in New Delhi, IndiaI got pain in rectum and bleeding in the year 1998 first time and consulted a homeopath who prescribed a remedy. I was fine after 1 week of treatment.
After that in 2012 I again had rectal bleeding without pain. I consulted a gastroenterologist who carried out a colonoscopy and was diagnosed with internal hemmoroids,however i feel while conducting the colonscopy i got a tear in my rectum(fissure) which started giving tearing pain during Bowel Movement (BM) with bleeding in the pot.
Went back to the same Homeopath but this time his remedy did not work,change in remedies also did not help.
Most homeopaths in India do not prescribe remedies and give self prepared remedies hence i am unable to state what remedy he gave me.
I tried ayurveda but of no avail.Then i researched on the net and took Aesculus Hip 30c and a Tablets of Pilgo (mix of Ratanhia 200, Hamamalis 200 Aesculus 200 and aloe soco 200and got immense relief and problem subsided.
However, since last 2 months(June 2014) the problem has reoccurred and I am under immense pain and none of the medicines are working for me.
My present symptoms are:
1.Painful BM's(pain lasts for hours after BM.)
2.Blood in BM's
3.Swollen vein in rectum with a pimple on top.This is just below my skin tag.
4.Contracted (tight) anal sphincter.
5.The pain is excrutiating ,like cutting with glass or knife accompanied by throbbing spasmodic pain.
6.Feeling of incomplete evacuation sometimes leading to 2 or more BM's.
I am weary of going for a BM because of the thought of pain associated with it and my appetite has gone down involuntarily.
I feel good with sitz bath with hot water when pain disappears and take it twice or thrice. Have visited locol homeopaths who have prescribed.
1.Aesculus 200 c x 3 times
2.callisonia 200 x 3 times
3.ratanhia 200 x 3 times
4.sulphur 200 x 3 times
5.arnica 200 x 3 times
6.graphites 200 x 3 times
7. Nux vomica 200 x 3 times
Had for 3 weeks no relief
then was advised adel 2 (apo-HAM)
no relief
Then on this forum i read of
Acid nit 200 x 3 doses
and calc flour 12x 3 times.
My symptoms actually worsened after 2/3 days of Acid Nit, the pain bacame unbearable and i stopped.
Presently taking
Aescuus 200 into 3 times
Ratanhia 200 into 3 times
Nux 200 1 time (evening)
Am also applying Proctosydl cream which has reduced swollen vein slightly.
Homeopath advised to take medicine every hour till pain disappears but it is contrary to advise on this forum hence did not have.
My sister who is somewhat aware of homeoathy feels that i have been over drugged and need to detox and start new line of treatment.
PLEASE HELP.
How can i detox (someone suggested Nux) and pls prescribe new remedy to get rid of this unbearable pain.
The situation gets aggravated with Liquor,Spicy food and stress.
Surgeon had suggested surgery for fissure and hemms but am not considering it as an option due to high chance of re occurance.

Dear Sajay,
They say that homoeopathy does not harm anybody.This statement is true to the extent that it does not have any serious side effects which will harm the patient. But it can create irrepairable damage, if taken in very high potencies & frequently and many of them togther.
Actually in your case this has happened. So many medicines all in 200 & three times a day will jumble up the case that it will totally confuse the prescriber.
My sincere advice to you is stop all medicines totally for one full week whatever be the case & then after about 8-10 days write back giving all the symptoms in detail so as to decide the medicine.
In case of too much of suffering just take one dose of NUX VOMICA 200 occasionally.
You may use local applications for slight relief.
That is all I can suggest for the present.

you can take mag phos 6x 2 tabs 4 times a day or more as per requurement for the palliation of the pain till your treatment starts again

Dear Daktersaab, Greetings! As per your advice, I went off all medication to detox the effects of earlier medicine and was managing with stool softener. Also took nux vom and sulphur which didn't help very much. In recent days I have had a sudden flare up wherein I had hard stools and blood in stools, in the pot. Also my fissure got irritated again. My present symptoms are as follows:
1) swollen/ inflamed internal haemorrhoids.
2) blood in stool and pot once in two -three days.
3) severe pain and burning in rectum during and after stool
4) anal sphincter is tight permanently causing thin stools.
5) severe itching between anus and coccyx with watery weeping discharge.
My present medication:
Daflon 500 to stop bleeding ( started yesterday- course is for 7 days. Neosporin antibiotic cream to keep infection away.
The homeopath who had given me medicine earlier told me that I am not a nux vorm type person ( wonder what that means...) and also said my constitutional remedy is lycopodium. He had given me a cocktail of medicines whose name were not revealed which I stopped on your advice. May I request you to please undertake my case and suggest possible remedy as this has become too overbearing for me now. For your information I am 49 years old male, 6 ft tall and weigh 110 kgs presently. I have a sedentary life style. I weighed more and have lost about 12 kgs in last three months with bit of walking and diet control. Also, to refresh I underwent colonoscopy in 2012 Nov and was diagnosed with internal haemorrhoids. Many thanks for considering my case.

Sanjay ji, very wonderful your story is. I think you don't know about the side effects of Homoeopathy,I think Dr. Kent or a well known Dr has said this "mai ek nausikhiya homoeopathic dr ke galat dhand say ilaz karane ke bajay ek neegro ke hathon band kamre main knife say gudkar marna pasand karoonga.
Do you know something about the nature of human....hot & chilly, some people feel very hot & others very chill this system is also there in all medicines and as well as in all homoeopathic medicines.
Do you know about the constitution of human & constituted drug or homoeopathic medicine.
As you have written you have taken so many homeo medicine in 200c 3 times a day, do you know generally 200c is used once weekly and you have taken so many medicines in 200c daily 3 times. May I know who has given you the advise of this ?
Yes this is also true that nuxvom is not suitable for everyone, there must be symptoms of this medicines & if we are going to take high potency of this medicine then constitution of this drug must be there.
You have taken so many medicines in high potency daily so many times......generally homoeopathic rule is to prescribe only one medicine, but in worse condition you can take 2 or 3 medicines.
I am very frustrated to read your story, how anyone can take so many homeo medicines in high potencies daily so many times by himself.
Now you are suffering from the aggravation of so many homeo medicines. May God bless you.
Do you know here is nothing which can detox the homoeopathic medicines, because mostly homeo medicines act deeply in body. Neither Coffee nor Camphor or Nuxvom can detox all the medicines.
You are now in very serious condition, you must meet any good doctor of alopathic or surgeon......thanks & God bless you.
