Knee injury not healing

Dear Experts,

I have described my condition & background through a questionnaire as follows:

1. Age/Sex/Country:
31/F/India

2. Current complaint - for how long:
Knee Injury. I twisted my knee while dancing. Heard a popping sound. MRI report & Orthopedist say pain due to erosion of articular cartilage and posterior horn of medial meniscus. Also anterior cruciate ligament sprain noted.
Injury happened on July 11, 2014. Re-injured the same knee on Aug 1, 2014. Very slow healing since then.


3. Current medicine you are taking:
day 1-5: Arnica 30c
day 6-10: Rhus Tox 30c
day 11-15: Ruta G 30c
day 16-20: Symph 30c

4. Sign & Symptom of disease:
Pain & stress in the knee after sitting for long periods (like watching a movie, even with legs stretched out). However, no increased pain or stiffness upon waking up. Stiffness is the same throughout the day, and is quite severe. Slight improvement with heat. Also feel pain while climbing stairs (especially going down). Cannot bend the knee without pain. Sometimes, feel a sharp, shooting pain when I suddenly trip a little while walking. Clicking sound when I bend the knee or bend and then straighten it. There was no swelling since the day of the injury. Feel a lot of weakness in the knee & trembling in the knee when I straighten it & put weight on it. Pain worsens with cold.

5. Brief medical history:
Get sinus infections easily. Also, prone to stomach infections when I eat out. I have low BP. Healthy individual otherwise.

6. Family Background:
Knee problems (Rheumatoid arthritis) run on mother's side.
Mother has auto-immune disorder. Father has osteoarthritis, Parkinson's, diabetes & heart problems.

7. Education and Nature of Profession of Patient:
Have studied MS and worked in the software industry. Currently pursuing a full-time career in dance (Bharatanatyam).

8. Desires and aversion of food:
Desires - sweets especially chocolates, Indian milk sweets, fried food. However, I do not overdo the same since I am also very health conscious. I eat very healthy - organic, sattvic food..lots of fruits & vegetables.

Aversion - alcohol, cigarettes, meat, carcinogens, unhygienically prepared food. I eat only home-cooked food.

9. Mind-behavior, anger, irritability, hurry..etc.:
I tend to get stressed over small things easily. I cannot stand lies and manipulation of the smallest degree. When I love something, I pour my 100% into it. When I don't love it, I tend to be lazy and procrastinate. It takes time for me to make friends. But once I like someone, I can talk non-stop with them. I am very spiritual, and care about other life forms (not just humans). I get deeply saddened when people are indifferent to others' suffering.

10. What makes it worse and what makes it better:
Cold makes it worse. Heat makes it better. By heat, I mean external application like hot water bags and warm-up exercises. Ayurvedic massages seem to make a difference (but very small..may be 5%).

11. Thirst/Tongue/diabetic...:
I would say, I feel moderately thirsty...I only like to drink warm water..I hate drinking water that is at room temperature or below.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I request you to kindly provide a potent remedy to speed up the healing process of the articular cartilage, meniscus and ligament. I have rested the knee for 2 months, but still suffering from pain, stiffness and crackling sounds when I bend the knee.

your problem as I see it has two parts the injury and the arthritis. We deal first with the injury. You have mentioned that you have already taken Rhustox but I suggest you take it once again in 30 potency twice a day for three days and observe changes. Please don't eat or drink any sour article as that will interfere with medicine.
