The cough has gone on for 3 weeks now- so took him to the allopath again. Said the throat was still red, and there was a bacterial infection called mycoplasma going around. Put him o n antibiotics - seems better after 3 days on it....cough not gone completely
I had a few doubts
1. Is there something as homeopathy not working for some people? It works very well for the rest of my family well. BUT...Even as a baby it did not work for my son for asthma, and I had to at one point stop and resort to 6 mths on inhaled steroids for him to stabilize.
2. If you have gone through the whole case- he has been on some homeo or other for 6 mths for his eye - none of which have worked. I am not sure if all these medicines have created some sort of imbalance giving him this cough. Is this possible?
3. How long do remedies stay in the body?
Should I once these antibiotic medicines are over keep him homeo free for a month to let the body do a sort of detox?
I am still a learner and would appreciate your guidance.

No Dear homeopathy works for every body.It fails only when the body is under the stress of strong medicines of other school.In these circumstances we have to adjust the potency of homeopathic remedies usually we prescribe the low potencies.

My son had a couple of days of high fever inspite of being on the antibiotics. Then the cough cleared in about 10 days . He has now been normal (touch wood) for 5 days, no medicines, and I am ready to deal with his eye. All my readings seems to point to Staphysagaria for a sty caused by a blocked gland. Can I try that first?
