Alfal has a nutritive effect & tones up appetite; very effective for children, for lactating mothers;mproves general vitality & health. This can be alternated with Avena Sativa which also acts greatly in stimulating the nutrition.You may order these in 30c Potency & take them alternatively twice a week for a fortnight. do not try to keep taking them more than the required period. Although no harm will be done, it is better not to overdo .

Alfalfa 30 c is effective & can be given to children. Give it for a week or 10 days & then you may stop. What other Homeopathyic remedies is the child taking.
Ususally the correct Homeo remedy will ensure allround growth & there is no need to supplement. Alfalfa is usually given when the patient is recovering from an illness when the energy level is low.

thank you. Nux is the first homeopathy remedy my DS has tried.
i was thinking of combining with alfalfa? should i also combine avena sativa?

Please do not combine with Nux Vomica. If you want togive alfalfa & Avena Sat, then give them at a different time. Nux usually works better when administered in the night. Give the other 2 in the morning. But do not give the remedies for too long a period. stop after a week or 10 days. You may continue again at a later date.

To establish equilibrium in the system after the side effects of allopathic medicines, Nux Vom is the best.
I suggest that out of Alfalfa and Avena Sat only one be given and that too after Nux has done the job.

Regarding potency,Boericke recommends material doses for both Alfalf and Avena Sat. The normal dose is 5 drops of mother tincture for Alf and 10 drops for Avena. For the 1 1/2 yr old, we may scale it down to, say, 2 drops of Alf and 3 drops of Avena.

Hi, Here it is difficult to get Mother Tinctures. practitioners have used Alfalfa 30 & avena Sat30 & the effects are good. But if you can get the Mother Tincture as Sahai has suggested, it would be good too.
