Nausea for the past year in 7 year old

My daughter has been complaining of feeling nauseous for almost a year now. She complains now and then but at different times throughout the day. She sometimes even wakes up a few hours after she has gone to bed (12-1 a.m) and says she is going to vomit, but doesn't. She would complain during the summer, when having fun at the beach, so we gathered it wasn't school related (i.e nervous, anxiety).
Most of the times, at least for the past few months her nausea is usually followed by her wanting to pass stool or passing stool.
Her stool is normal in colour and consistency. In September though, she had blood in her stool but after a great amount of blood and stool tests, Salmonella was found. After 3 weeks of mild diarrhea as her only symptom it cleared up. The dr said that it is unrelated to the nausea, which I too agree on, since the nausea began months before the salmonella.
Last month we started to look into it more closely, having blood tests done for different microorganisms/bacteria and allergies, but all came back negative. A dr even suggested to have an xray of her sinuses down, to rule out sinusitis and post nasal drip as a cause for her nausea, especially e
when it occured when asleep. The results came back showing only a mild to very little sinus infection and were considered not to be responsible. She does however clear her throat at times like phlegm is stuck in the back. She has no expectoration or nasal discharge.
She is healthy, has no pain in the abdomen. She is a child that likes to be comforted, gets offended easily, feels cold easier than the rest of her family.
At the beginning I thought it might be psycological, but waking from her sleep and feeling nauseous at different times throughout the day and not in the morning before school made us think twice. She is a good student and enjoys school. She leaves home and returns from school always in a good mood.
She eats a wide variety of food. She likes sweets. For several years she doesn't like to drink cow's milk on its own, but she will have it with cereal. She had no allergies as a baby or toddler.

I look forward to hearing your replies.
Thanks

1. Age,sex, weight, body and face appearance, country, occupation.

7.5 yrs old, female, very tall for her age, average weight, slightly olive skin, more yellow undertones than red in skin. Greece, 2nd grade pupil.

2. Main complaints and other associated troubles.
a)Where is the trouble; The exact locality of the complaint like hands, legs etc; duration of trouble.

Nausea is her main complaint. When asked to describe how she feels she says I just feel sick and nauseous. Nausea doesn't last too long. It stops if she passes stool. Before she passes stool she has little pain in her tummy. Not constipated, even though she may sometimes feel like going to the toilet, but without passing stool.

b)What exactly do you feel, Sensation as pain, how pain feels or burn etc.

Feels nauseous, like vomiting sometimes. No pain. Sensation in stomach or in throat/mouth when feeling like vomiting.

c)What are the factors that causes this trouble according to you.

Sometimes she is hungry and feels nauseous. Needs to pass stool and feels nauseous. Thinks about it and feels nauseous. Most times unexplained factors.

d)Condition under which the complaint is reduced or you feel better like, cold or hot application, cold or hot weather, position as standing, walking, rest etc.

Not something specific. Sometimes when she lies down and covers up.

e)Condition under which the complaint is increased like, cold or hot application, cold or hot weather, position as standing, walking, rest etc.

Not something specific.

f)Any other complaint any where in the body.

She complains of headaches sometimes, mainly at school. Her classmates are noisy and it bothers her.

g)Onset time of troubles in detail, i.e which came first, after that what problem and so on.

Last year she would go to urinate often. Tests were done but showed no infection most of the time. With homeopathy the problem would improve. She did at some point have a couple urinary tract infections. After a cold that would not pass, with mild, but suspicious symptoms she was diagnosed with bronchopneumonia and was given antibiotics. After this course of antibiotics her cold improved but had a UTI and had to take antibiotics again. After taking the antibiotics her nausea was worse and that is when we started to notice her complaints. My husband recalls her complaining before the antibiotics too. If she did, it wasn't that often and her main complaint/problem was the frequent urination. This dates back to 10 months ago. She has not taken antibiotics since that time. She does not urinate frequently any more either and has had no UTIs. Stool consistancy was not affected by antibiotics to indicate any apparent side effect.

h)Treatment method adopted and its result.

Antibiotics were taken, after homeopathy remedies failed to help with the cold. In total over 2 weeks which at about the end started to cause an upset stomach.
For the nausea she went on a no dairy diet. Slight improvement but not significant.

3. History of diseases in family.

No

4. Personal History.

a)About childhood.
Very happy baby, would complain and whine as she grew. At one stage she was very stubborn and would always seek reassurance and comforting. Has a tendency to sometimes dwell on the negative things. She has an older brother (12 yrs) and a younger sister (4 yrs) and we are expecting a baby girl in 3 months. She is shy but doesn't allow friends to get there way. She would rather get up and leave than to be treated unfairly.

b)Academic performance.
Good student, eager to please and improve herself. Does not cause trouble, a little shy.

c)Any major incidents in life and the effect of it on life.
NO.

d)How you are satisfied with your sex life, friends, family members, company etc.
Quite satisfied. As a child does not like to be left out and complains.

5. Habits/Addiction.
a)Smoking, Alcohol,Sleeping pills, Laxative etc.
ANS.
b)Masturbation and frequency.
ANS.

6. How is your Appetite and Thirst.

12. Sleep.
a)The quality of sleep, the quietness or restlessness of sleep,
position of sleep, times of waking and reasons for waking,
need for cover over various parts of the body,
whether the window must be open or closed etc.
common dreams, peculiar sounds or gestures during sleep, etc.

Good quality, not restless. Lately sleeps on her back and sometimes on her side. She starts out with 2 pillows because she believes she won't feel nauseous this way, but quickly gets rid of one. If she wakes, she wakes at around midnight or very early in the morning (6 a.m.) and sleeps again. Main reason for waking is feeling sick-nauseous or feeling scared from a bad dream. Doesn't wake us often. Quite rarely now. Feels cold and covers up.

13. Sweat
a)How much, what parts, staining, Odour.
Little to normal, sometimes on hairline. No odour. In heat she sweats behind knees and in front of elbows. It turns into redness with dry itchy patches.

14. Weather
a)Tolerance to heat and cold, dryness, humidity, weather changes, sun,
foggy weather, wind drafts, closed rooms, etc.

She prefers the heat but doesn't like to sweat. When weather changes to cold she makes sure to dress warmer and complains of being cold.

Nausea seems here to be caused by use of antibiotics that caused imbalance in her digestion,

no serious heath issues dnt worry,

include curd or yogurt in her diet they are good probiotics,

no water or anything 1 hour before meals,
ask her not to drink much water just after meals, she can take some little amount, then to drink 1 glass water 90 minutes after meal, dnt give cold water, warm fresh foods to be given in meals,

give PHOSPHORUS 30, 2 drops in a tablespoon water, 3 times a day for 2 days, dnt eat or drink anything 30 minutes b4 or after medicine,

report how she felt in her mental freshness and nausea after 15 days of stopping the course,

also make her do some exercises like SURYA NAMASKAR (google it or youtube) 5 TIMES DAILY for proper blood flow in whole body,

BHRAMARI PRANAYAM (google it or youtube) 5 TIMES DAILY for mental freshness,

Thanks.

Hello again,
My daughter is complaining of an earache. It's a little red inside. She has had nasal discharge for the past week accompanied by a cough. It was hoarse, no expectoration, but has subsided, maybe from the phosphorus?
Is there something I can give her for her ear that won't interfere with the phos?
Thanks

how is her nausea and stomach, how is she sleeping and her mental freshness.

BHRAMARI PRANAYAM with tight fingers in ears can also cause ache if done wrong.

She is sleeping ok. During this period she complained only twice when she went to bed that she felt nauseous. After half an hour she went to sleep again, without going to the toilet and she slept just fine. She had eaten mandarins those days, and maybe that made her feel sick?
We did not do the BHRAMARI PRANAYAM. I have an otoscope and looked in her ear and saw that it was a little red. Not the eardrum though.

rania1403 9 years ago
ok, no problem that seems minor ear boil, dnt worry it may subside,

i am not recommending any remedy bcoz it may interfere with the curative process of phosphorus,

if ear boil grows big and ear ache becomes severe then consider allopathic doctor so that it does not causes infection,

dont repeat phos. and report how is her nausea and stomach, how is she sleeping and her mental freshness after 10 days.

i think the remedy will cure her completely..

Thanks.
