Severe asthma in toddler

If anyone could help me find the correct remedy to help my toddler, I would appreciate it!

1. 3.5 year old female has severe asthma attack when she gets a fever due to a virus. She does not have asthma at any other time. She has been in the hospital numerous times because of the severity of the attack. The xrays show that the asthma is much worse on the right side.
2. Asthma with deep non-productive cough. Severe retractions. Gets much worse when fever returns.
3. Fever causes the asthma to become more severe.
4. Relief is created with asthma medications. Sitting up is better than lying down.
5. Viral illness triggers the asthma.
6. Much worse at night but severe all day.
7. The problem started when she got a fever at the age of 2.

Can anyone help? I would like to build up her lungs as well as her immune system in general. Thank you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
One more thing I'd like to share:
Asthma does not run in our family. She is the only one that has it.

A few more things to take into consideration: she is a very restless sleeper. She is very conscientious.
