HOW TO DESCRIBE YOUR COMPLAINTS (Physical Components)

In homoeopathy, prescription is based on precise details of various symptoms from which you suffer. To tell or write to a homoeopathic physician 'I have a headache ', ' an eruption ' or “a cough” would not be enough. If you inform him 'I have headache with sharp shooting pains in the left side of the head and temple, these pains always come on when the slightest cold air strikes the head. I feel better by pressing the head very hard.” Then only you have given all the information required for making a good homoeopathic prescription. The success of the prescription depends; largely on how detailed your description of the symptoms is.
We require the following details about your symptoms.

LOCATION: Please give the exact location of sensation, pain or other symptom. Also describe where the pain or sensation or symptom spreads.

SENSATION: Express the type of sensation or the pain or other symptom that you get in your own words however simple or funny it may seem. You may have a sensation that a mouse is crawling or the heart was grasped by an iron hand or you may have a pain that is cutting, burning jerking, pressing. Express the sensation or pain as it feels to you. Try to explain the whole sensation in the exact way it is happening and not just the word. We need to understand the whole process of the sensation as it is happening to you.

WHAT MAKES YOU WORSE OR BETTER:

Many factors are likely to influence your complaint. Some factors may intensify it and some factors may relieve the trouble. A detailed list of the factors is given at the end. Please refer it while describing each of your troubles and indicate which factors make the complaint better or worse.

DISCHARGES: You may have a discharge from nose, ears, mouth, eyes, ULCERS, fistula, eruptions on skin, private parts, etc. Please describe your discharge in detail including colour, consistency, appearance, odour etc.

MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL DESCRIPTION

(Please spend the most time on this section and give DETAILED answers - the homoeopathic remedy is very often decided on the basis of the mental and emotional state of the patient !)

1. Not being able to do anything because of my knee. I basically watch a lot of tv at home because I am already on my feet 40+ hours a week and use a auto chair cart at the grocery store to get around when shopping. I feel sad and fustrated. If I was able to walk with out pain, I would go on a walk on the beach, bike ride, excercise etc.

2 I am upset because I am overweight. I do make jokes about it but again I feel fustrated. I feel like I will never be able to loose the weight with my knee issue. I am a size 3x. I joke that I am pleasantly plump. If I lost weight I could date There is not many people that want to sit around and do nothing.

3. My son's girlfriend has anger against our family even though we have helped her and my son and their child (my grand nephew) She is mean and miserable and tries to create as many problems in my family and controls my son.

4. My kids are not able to help me out My son is super busy because his girlfriend refuses to try and get a job and my daughter is dealing with her own emotional healing.

5. My ex husband lives with me to help pay the mortgage but it is fustrating because he is a horder, slob, pigs my whole house up and acts like a little kid with emotional temper tantrums. I have to resort to yelling at him and telling him he can not go unless he puts clean clothes on.

Ill effects from holding my temper I cant say what I want to say Not good to do that all the time. I get really angry but I do not always tell my kids what I want to say to them or to my ex husband

I am happy to have given birth to my 2 kids. I was really sad when I lost my parents. Hurting my knee and becoming inactive (she refered to at this point that the knee thing was added because she was pulling at straws to find other situations-she talks very non challant)

I have a phobia of spiders, claustrophobic( I got trapt in one years ago)
I am afraid I do not have money to pay bills. I am afraid I will never have a clean house. That I will never loose weight.
I manage fears by not watching creepy crawlies
A room full of spiders would provoke the fears, be stuck in my basement.
Get trapt in an elevater again.
If I have to go into elevators I just take a deep breath.

Work is my hobby-saying jokingly... play games on cell phone or computer watch tv/movies. I like antiquing.. I love old items (antique road show, treasure hunters) concerts, dance performances

It feels like there is no time for emotions for me as I do not have control over so much of this I am sharing
1. What are the issues in your life that bother you the most. Not physical issues but mental or emotional ones. List each one separately and describe why each one bothers you so much.

2. What emotions are the most troublesome for you? What situations provoke these emotions. How do these emotions make you act? Do you feel any ill effects from expressing or not expressing these emotions.

3. What incidents in your life have had a deep impact on you? Describe each incident in detail and how they made you feel? What did you do in those situations? What effect have they had on your life?

4. What are you afraid of? Especially important are phobias, but it might be objects, situations or events that just produce a high level of anxiety. How do you manage your fears? How do you react when confronted with these fears? What would be the worst situation for you to be put in that would provoke these fears? You may need to talk about each fear/anxiety separately.

5. What hobbies do you have? Why do you like each of these activities?

6. Do you have any persistent thoughts, ideas or beliefs that are difficult to stop or cope with? What are they?

7. Do you have any unusual gestures or movements of the body? Do you feel any unusual sensation or pain throughout your body? What exactly does it feel like is happening in your body?
no

8. When you experience your fears, persistent thoughts, or difficult emotions, what kind of sensation or reactions do you get in your body?

9. When did you feel at your best in your life? What was that like for you? If you imagine the complete opposite of this feeling or moment, what would that be like?
That is a hard question years and years ago. she chuckles I have had this stupid pain for so long I can not remember. Then she coughed. Probably in my 30s. I was a lot more active and I would go out dancing. O I remember something tramuatic. My best friend became an alcholic. It destroyed our friendship. She was one of my few friends other then karen's girlfriend lover. She died a few years ago from alcohol poisoning. I felt so sad that I never got to say goodbye because at the point I had not spoke with her for a few years all together because her and her girlfriend were so heavy into the alcohol. I could not stand to be around that. My best friend died a few years ago.

10. Do you feel like you are stuck in a pattern of behavior, especially when trying to deal with your problems? What is this pattern? THIS IS AN IMPORTANT QUESTION PLEASE CONSIDER CAREFULLY AND GIVE DETAILS.
I am stuck in a pattern of not being able to do anything, cant excercise to loose weight, cant clean, cant walk for a long period of time, fustrated because I have to beg my family to help me out. I have sent guilt trip texts to my kids to help me. I yell at my ex husband and I have to battle with him to help me out.

11. What difficulties or problems do you have in relationships? Talk about your family, your romantic relationships, your spouse or partner, your friends, and your work colleagues. You may need to talk about all of these separately.
I only have my work friend Wenda But I cant have people to the house because of the fact that my house is so messy. I lost out on being able to make friends all through my marriage because my ex was a hoarder. I am also fustrated because I worked 2 jobs for years and found out that my ex was being abusive to my son because my daughter would call up crying. I worked 2 jobs each time I was pregnant. I did not kick him out because I was afraid of loosing the house and was better off having a family then not That was a mistake. I wish I could have changed that back then I also feel fustrated that I had to have him move back in after we were divorced because I needed help with the finances in the house. Now I am stuck with him.

This case looks a lot like Staphysagria, Sepia, Carcinosin.

To me this immediately flags the possibility of Lac leoninum as the remedy.

The conflict of the Lac leo person(woman especially) is a battle for authority, an odd kind of dependence on someone where they actually do all the work and supporting. In my experience with this remedy, women with husbands that laze around doing nothing while they are out working and bring home the food for the whole family, do quite well on this remedy.

Lac leo shows these (relevant) qualities:

Feeling that she is not allowed to experience things because those around her are selfish
Feel put down
Intolerant of domination
Ailments from indignation
Feeling wrongly blamed or criticized
Feel others are interfering in their life
Feeling taken advantage of
Feeling of needing to depend on others
Feeling of being hindered, of others putting obstacles in their way
Fear of spiders

Can you get Lac leo 200c in liquid form?

If you have obtained pillules or pellets, you will need a small bottle and a dropper to make your own liquid dose. Mix water and alcohol into this small bottle to the ratio of 5:1. Dissolve 3 pillules/pellets into this bottle. All doses will be made from this bottle.

If you already have a liquid dose just start from step 1.

1. Hit the bottle 5 times firmly against the palm of the hand

2. Place 3 drops into 100mls of clean fresh water

3. Stir very thoroughly

4. Take 2 teaspoons out into the mouth and hold for 20 seconds, then swallow.

This is one dose and the same steps should be taken for any further doses, unless I ask you to change them in some way.

If any old symptoms reappear, or any current symptoms worsen, this is a GOOD sign in most cases. DO NOT SUPPRESS them with other kinds of medication unless you are in real danger (which is a highly unlikely reaction to a remedy).

However, if you are on regular medication it is also important that you do NOT stop taking this unless it is perfectly safe to do so. Once it is determined the medicine has acted beneficially, we can look at reducing such medication. Regular medication in this instance is NOT defined as other homoeopathic medicines which MUST be stopped. Tissue salts are the same as homoeopathic medicines and are in this category, as are Bach Flowers, Flower Essences, and Bush Flower Essences.
