Persistant Cough - No relief

Hi Kadwa, Rishimba & all learned Doctors.

I am male aged 57 years.

Two weeks back, had a bout of cold. Took a few doses of Ferrum Phos 6x and Ars Alb 30. The cold cleared and had to clear the cough with hawking of mucus,throat irritation and pricking sensation took a single dose of Hep Sul 200.The cough, throat irritation and phlegm did not clear even after 2 days. Took a few doses of Bryonia 30. This went on for a few days but no relief from the cough and throat irritation etc.

The cough with throat irritation with pricking sensation aggravated and now it is almost 2 weeks and still there is no relief.

Typically in the evenings and night and in bed there is severe aggravation. Need to hawk mucus to get relief. The whole night there is coughing bout and hence am not able to sleep. The cough also aggravation when I enter a warm room and any strong smell or odours.

The last medicine taken was a dose dose of Nux Vom 200 and Sulphur 200. No relief from the cough.

In the day time, need to clear the throat with scrapping sensation and occassional bout of cough with hawking of mucus. Very scanty mucus in the night and day.

Have not slept in the night because of the sever cough coughing bout.

Do suggest/guide me as to which medicine to take.
