The ABC Homeopathy Forum

poodlepuppy

My pup has very watery eyes.
For the rest she is a very healthy dog, eating is normal, she is a very frendly dog with everyone.
Vet says she is in good health but wanted to give antibiotics for her eyes.
I do not like that idea, does anyone have a natural cure for her?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
What are you feeding your dog?
Raw is best.

You can rinse the eyes with Euphrasia Q, 5 drops in 8oz of filtered water, 2 x daily.

Antibiotics suppress the symptom. Later on in life we end up with an animal with a degenerative or terminal disease and wonder why?

Have you thought about providing detail to look for a constitutional remedy for this pup?

Namaste, there are some breeds like Poodle and Maltese that are prone to excessive tearing.

Do we look into their constitution straight?

mersing last decade
You are absolutely right Mersing.

Euprhrasia will ay least help to clean the eyes.

Constitutional treatment may alleviate it as well. It did for my cat, who had excessive tearing for years.

Every animal has a constitution and if anything suggesting a constitional remedy will strengthen the vitality and prolong longjevity.

Thanks for confirming this, Namaste. Now I am trying to ask friends to buy for me Euphrasia Q and also Tick Nosodes.

On another question ... sorry to hijack your thread doglover ... Namaste, have you tried Tick Nosodes on animals with Tick Fever?

One shelter was badly hit by Tick Fever that many dogs are very sick and more than 6 have died recently.

What they are using is Frontline to apply on the dogs but this product is so very expensive for a self-funded shelter with as many as 40 rescued dogs.

My pup is on a raw diet Namaste.I buy the Euphrasia tommorrow and start with it,thanx for that.
I did not use the antibiotics for her, because she is so young.
Constitutional remedy for her? Never thougt about that, but I wil give more detail.
She is three months old, when we got her she was a bit reserved toward new things, she looked for a while and then she decided if she goes for it or not,she has a white coat,is very playfull, did whine a lot in the first week when we left her on her one for a short while, she puts her teeth in everything, furniture, baskets, but especially in my plants that are standing on the floor, she loves to dig the sand out the pots and eat it.
She is a very, very active pup and I have to watch that.
She is very frendly to everyone, likes to be stroked, she is very fond of children, other dogs and animals, she is a very smart dog to,knows how to play you.
When we got her she had thick, darkbrown eardischarge in her right ear,I treated that and it is gone. She is not overweight or skinny, eating is very well, stools to,she drinks a lot I believe. She can be stubborn to.
Hope this is enough?

I never used the tick nosode. Only Ledum 1M when I thought my dog had Lyme disease from a tick. It did wonders for her swollen/water filled leg.

Doglover-Hip hip hooray about the raw diet! Bless you! Please write what your dog craves. Like does she like to chew on wood or eat dirt, or eat sand? Specific answers please.

Also what makes her better and what makes her worse. Like hot, cold, attention, sweets, salt, food, etc.

She has a craving for the pottingsand from my plants that stand on the floor,no further strange cravings.
She likes to lay soft when she goes to sleep, eating makes her feel better, she likes meat, green vegetables. She likes sweet tasting food, milk, cheese.
When she gets sleepy she wants to be carried.
She feels better when she can run and play outdoors.
She likes to play wild with other dogs, bit to wild.
She likes a cooler environment, also likes attention from people, children, other dogs.Likes to be massaged.

She does not like it to be leashed, she bites in her leash constantly, pulls it.
She does not like it when people approach her to sudden, she wil pull back, then she goes back to them.Same with dogs that are to wild.
She does not like it when we put her in her crate when she is not sleepy, she crys a lot then.
Also hates fruit and tomatoes, eats salty things but not prefer them.
She does not like to be groomed, wil not stand stil, hates to bath her eyes.
When it is to hot in the house, she goes and find herself a cooler place by the door or so.
She is called 'the princess"because she sits and looks at someone, when they call her she does not react, sits and look at them but no intention to come, she does that with us to,when she does not want to listen, when people do as if they go play with her,she is there in a second.
Looks as if she has to make the appraoch.
Hope this is enough.

Doglover, what does your dog prefer to eat?

Paper/wood/wicker baskets
Sand
Dirt/soil

Nux Vomica-Look and act hungover. Irritable, impatient, and demanding. First in line for food and love, worse from cold and in the AM. Females that act like tomboys. Sensitive to noise, light, touch, odor. Picks fights with other dogs. Growls or barks at cars passing by. I wanted to rule this remedy out first.

What is her past like? Any abandonment, abuse, neglect, etc.

Does she like sunshine?

What is her fur and skin like?

Does she growl and wag her tail at the same time. And does she tend to be gassy?

She eats soil, also demanding and impatient, she is first in line for food, for love, that depends on the mood she is in,she is sensitive to touch and odor, bright light, but not to noise. She is not really worse from cold.
Does not growl at cars that come by.Also no fighting with other dogs.
She came with us as she was eight weeks old,no abandonment, neglect or so,she was frightened by a young boy by the age of six weeks, she still can be reserved when somebody approaches her to sudden.
She is not very fond of to much sun,she has a white curly coat and a very pink skin that looks very healthy.
She does growl and wag her tail together sometimes, also likes to chase her tail, running around in cirkels.when we first had her here, she was very gassy, but we changed her food to raw and now that's over.

Thanks Namaste.
How long do I have to give it to her?

Doglover.

You could try one does daily for 6-8 weeks. If it works and then seems to stop working after that time then go up to 200C and give one dose three days in a row and stop. Observe and post again.

Hi Namaste.

My pup is on Phosphorus for two weeks now,and her eyes are completely better, stopped the Euphrasia last Sunday.
Can I continue with the Phosphorus because her character is changing and she is doing much better at this point.

Doglover.

You've got it Doglover. Stopping the Euphrasia was right. Like you said, if the Phosphorus is working, continue for another month, unless symptoms change or worsen.

I continue the Phosphorus for a month and let you know.
Thanks Namaste.
