Atypical chronic facial pain/scapular neuralgiaHi,
I have been searching for years to understand what my wife has been suffering and recently came across a forum where the Slovenia lady explained her sufferings and what a Russian doctor explained to her. I found my answer. The answer that doctors have for years been looking for and have found no answer. My wife has the same symptoms.
Everything started eight years ago while I was still in Mauritius. Following several months of fear and anger (which was out of our control and not related to our jovial and peaceful family environment), she started having dizziness and frequent period of headaches. After a few months that turned into chronic severe headache. Two years later chronic backache added to her already debilitating headache. After another two years, while pushing baby trolley in snow, the facial ache started till date.
The aches starts as soon as she wakes up in the morning from supine state till she goes to sleep. Nothing has worked up to now(Acupunture, homoepathy, reiki,
cupping, allopathy). The ache becomes more severe seven days before and during menses and at ovulation.
The winter is terrible for her. She can't even tolerate the slightest cold temperature.
I will describe briefly her facial, neck and shoulder issues.
Facial: Pain in maxillary region.CTScan does not reveal anything wrong. Nerve blockage does not work.Lyrica or whatsoever medicine does not even decrease the pain by even 1%.
Neck: The SCM becomes inflamed quite frequently.
Shoulder: Electric like coming when I massage a point between the neck and shoulder on the (The scalene region). The neck x-rays does not show anything abnormal. The scapular muscle is always enlarged (about 1,5 times the size it should be, permanently).I always try to convince the hundreds of doctors that there might be an issue there, noboby has even dare check that it is inflamed.
The several neurologist (in Canada) that we visited always convinced us that the facial pain is not related to any neck issue or shoulder bulging. I have never been convinced about that. What triggered my attention about the Slovenia lady forum post is that when I press a point on the inflamed scapular muscle, the ache circuit travel up to the maxillary region. A few millimetre on the left, the ache circuit is to the back.
I just need the help of anybody that can direct me towards any homeopathic treatment.
I have started with the Magphos 6x already and shall wait for the five days. If anybody can help will be extremely appreciated
