Mineral water vs Tap water

I have a question in my mind. Some Homeopaths here ask their patients to take dose of medicine in mineral water.

My question is mineral water contains different minerals like sodium, Magnesium, and other minerals, and these minerals are artificially added in water and are also in very small quantity. Dont these minerals interfere with homeopathic medicine, or have their own homeopathic effects.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
the idea is to avoid tap water because it contains chlorine which is added as a disinfectant. chlorine interferes with homoeopathic remedies. mineral water is recommended because it is the only other form of water available to city dweller. you can use water from any other source so long as it is pure. use of mineral water is not mandatory.
