simone717 - Haemophilus influenza

Hello Simone I just got a call from the ENT who said I have Haemophilus influenza. Is there anything I can take besides antibiotics?

Thank you . That might be the cause of my severe post nasal drip and chest phlegm.

Plmk thanks .

I will respond to other thread later when I figure this out.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hi-

You need antibiotics for this. Ask the Dr. about your other child, if problems
there.

Make sure you take a good probiotic with the antibiotic and continue for
a couple months after.

You need to do this to make sure it is gone- homeopathy often looks
like it is helping in these things, but is really just getting rid of symptoms
and the infection continues on, undetected unless you go back to the Dr.

I have had this happen with family members - symptoms gone, but
infection was still happening.

Ok I will take antibiotic. I am taking my child to doctor also because I think she has it too.

Thank you. I am very nervous taking meds while pregnant but will take antibiotics to help with the mess antibiotics leave behind.

Glad you went to the ENT and got facts. I am amazed you
have done as well as you have with this draining your system
everyday.

I meant take probiotics with antibiotics. (For some reason I can't edit my last post that didn't make much sense)

I am perplexed that I am not worse. I mean, the post nasal mucus and chest phlegm that started a day or two ago is nothing compared to episodes I've had in the past in which I never agreed to antibiotics but being pregnant it made me anxious so I gave in.

I had my first dose and I already feel it kicking my gut :( I was given a Z pack (azythromycin) . About an hour after taking it my body felt very jittery and my hands/legs were mildly shaking. Like an hour later I haven't stopped having diarrhea . What a pain to deal with antibiotics.

Are you allergic to penicillin? Asking bc you could ask the Ent for
another type of antibiotic - but don't get Cipro as that is the one
that was set up for Anthrax, and after 9/11 they were all giving
out Cipro for everything and on all the people I know who took it- they
had effects on the spine nerves so they had to demand to switch.

Z pak seems to be given now for everything.
