Question
Is it possible for children to experience a healing crisis from a single pellet dry dose and a single pellet wet dose given one week apart? The remedy given was a mixed remedy with the following ingredients:Arsenicum Alb 6c
Calc Sulph 6c
Nat Phos 6c
Silicea 6c
The reason I ask is because our son has eczema on his neck, arm folds, and legs and soon after the remedy was given he either got a healing crisis or coincidentally picked up the croup virus.
He developed a dry cough that transitioned to fever and then wet cough which he currently has. The recovery has been faster than we anticipated.
His skin has healed either due to the 3 days of fever or the healing crisis (unsure which one it is) to an unbelievable degree.
Last time the same thing happened when he got sick and we coincidentally gave him a 1M dose of Sulphur and his skin healed drastically (though that time we gave him fever suppressants like most uninformed new parents - now we don't do that anymore)
His constitutional remedy is actually Ant Crud since he fits the picture very closely (minus the overweight part -- he's actually super skinny!)
Thanks for your help. Just looking for feedback and learning from our experience.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hi- Homeopaths do not call this a healing crisis.
You take one remedy at a time, otherwise no one knows
what is doing what. One may be helping - they can't all be
helping at the same time.
For Acute conditions, flu, cough, cold, etc you match the
remedy to the symptoms-you try 3 doses of 30c at 4 to 6 hour
intervals to see what the effect it. When you have an effect,
good or bad you stop at dose one or two. Then wait to see
if things continue to get better and dose when old things return.
If after 3 doses no response choose another remedy. Dosing
is based on response.
For Chronic- a homeopath has to look at the totality,
mental physical emotional better by, worse by, never well
since by etc and then match that.
One does not have a "constitutional" remedy that stays the same-
people are not remedies-
Remedies are based on the current totality of symptoms-
Always.
After a remedy responses could be:
A. no response
B. symptoms are better but there was no time of worsening
(aggravation) this could mean the remedy is palliating
- suppressing symptoms like allopathic medicine and
it won't cure- it will just suppress
C. Aggravation- a worsening of the symptoms soon after
the remedy- then usually followed by feeling better
mentally, better sleep etc
D. Aggravation and then new symptoms show up
this could be from too many doses or too high a potency
stopping the remedy usually lets these thing wear off
and then the person is better
E. New symptoms show up right away- the remedy is
wrong .
Remember that the remedy is to MATCH. When it matches
the body won't accept it. Because it is the law of like cures
like. The body reacts when getting a match, by raising the
life force to cure with its own intelligence and goes backwards
to release all out of balance states and things that
were suppressed in its own time.
The remedy does not do the work- the remedy is a trigger
for the life force to do the work.

Thank you again Simone for taking time to educate me and share your thoughts.
I've clearly been misunderstanding homeopathy all along. If I may ask, is there a way for me to get education on homeopathy, mentoring, or training so I can better understand how homeopathy can help my son. It would be for purely educational purposes and not for practicing homeopathy.
I understand the golden rule of homeopathy is not to use homeopathy on your own family without an outside homeopath giving the prescription so my objective is to simply be informed and educated.

You can go to the site of Mary Aspinwall-
She is a decades long homeopath, author and teacher.
She has on the right side of her webpage- free stuff. Click on that and
download her basic book on homeopathy.
She also has classes on her site that you can take online.
Many people get a basic kit ( Mary sells those also) and the kits
have a thin booklet in them that lists the normal things people get and
how to match symptoms and choose. This is for acute ailments. I always used a kit for my children
even tho I had a homeopath, my homeopath advocated it, really a lifesaver
at night when you cannot get ahold of anyone and prevented a lot of
pediatric appts.
Another person to check out - is Lia Bello 505 474 4917. I have not looked
at her site lately- it was under new construction. Lia is a 30 year nurse homeopath
teacher- She will do acute cases by phone for $50 with follow ups-Great
resource - you have to call her, she is in New Mexico. I have had people call
her when they were on vacation in other parts of the world- in emergencies.
It is nice because she knows the other side of things ( allopathic) and when
you need to go to the hospital instead of remedies. Nothing but good feedback
on how she interacts with people. If you are out of the country, simply buy
a calling card for usa for less than $10 and you have a couple hours of time
on that.
There are a lot of books on homeopathic self care, free on the internet etc.
It is just in chronic ailments it is too complex even if you get the remedy
right and no one is neutral enough on chronic to be really good at
remedy selection- which is why homeopaths go to other homeopaths.
