Cyclical illness since infancy

My son is 19 years old. He has suffered from ill health since age 3 months. He HAd his first vaccination at that age, and suffered immediate seizure, fever, and shuddering. His digestion progressively shut down after that, with reflux allergies diarreah, malabsorption, malnutrition and infections. Since that time, every three years almost to the day from that shot, there is a development of a "new disease" or set of symptoms. This past year it was a nasty leg ulcer that has taken months to heal. Three years before that it was ulcerative colitis, etc. In some ways this last episode is encouraging, because it seems that the manifestations have moved progressively lower on his body, having started with the seizure and worked their way down to an extremity.
A homeopath prescribed DPT remedy 7 years ago, and the reaction was so extreme that I feared my son would not live through it. I will not put him through that again.
Remedies that have been prescribed in the past are tuberculinum, thuja, juniperus, sulph and coxsaccum.

Gaertner nosode seems to fit many of my son's symptoms but i am not sure that it would clear the underlying problem.
What can be done to stop this cycle?
