silent reflux and sleep issue

My daughter is 5 weeks 3 days and was diagnosed with silent reflux at 3 weeks and has been on Zantac .5ml x 2 day. Her symptoms include hoarse voice, congestion, coughing, wet burps (which are painful before Zantac), arching of the back, loud gulping noise when drinking milk ( breast feeding with one off supplement of formula in a week) and fussiness when drinking (not always but in the evening). She also has excess saliva and making chewing like action as if something is in her mouth. In addition she has gas and bowel movement once a day (huge one).
She is gaining weight very well however since the time Zantac has been started she is very hard to go down for the naps, she will sleep 20 mins and wake up ( not cranky) but if we hold her she will sleep for hour and half. She goes down for the night at around 8 for 5 hours stretch and that's the only stretch she sleeps peacefully for most part, rest of her sleep and naps have been very disturbed and restless.
I read up on Nat Phos 6x and Chamomilla for reflux and sleep restlessness but wanted to get expert opinion on how I should proceed. Your suggestions are most welcome.
Regards,
Jayee

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
My baby is going threw the EXACT same thing and is 6 weeks. I am hoping someone will let me (us) know what dosage is safe at this age of the Nat. Phos 6x. I am going to continue my research and I may start him out on 1/2 tablet before he ears starting tomorrow. If I see positive change, I will be sure to let you know.

Great thank you so much. I read on one of the forums (not on this site) where one mom reported slight insomnia in her child with Nat Phos 6x, I am not sure if that is a known side effect or one off case.

Im glad you mentioned that so I know not to try it until the morning. Also, Colic Calm is a temporary but good fix. It will help her sleep. It is also holistic.

Here's an update. I started using the x6 early morning yesterday. I gave him 1/3 tablet and he slept very well. He did wake up about 2 hours later wheezing which he does every night and fave him Colic Calm. He slept for 4straight hours after that! He woke us and stoll had the silent reflux but it seemed much more calm and he wasn't as upset as he usually is. He actually wasn't crying at all but I could still hear the drainage from the SR. I give him probiotics in the a.m. before he breastfeeds followed by very little Colic Calm. He napped for 4 hours straight and once again woke up without being upset! That night I gave him the x6 before he ate and he slept very well again. 4 hours strong followed by 2 hours of being up then 5 hours sleeping with very little disturbance from the SR. He woke up pretty happy today though he still has signs of SR and I gave him the x6 before he ate. Heis sleeping now and has been asleep for 2 hhours and only woke up once with the SR which I then gave him a few drops of Colic Calm on a pacifier. It seems to be a great combination but I will only be convinced if this continues in to tomorrow evening. What I like about what I'm using is all 3 are homeopathic. Probiotics, Colic Calm and the Hylands x6 #10. I'll give you an update Monday morning! Oh I am also taking probiotics and the x6 just fyi.

That's great. I have ordered colic calm and hoping to get it by today. I started my daughter on Nat Phos yesterday as well, 1/2 tablet after 3 feedings. The silent reflux isn't gone but seems to bother her much less however her gas has reduced quite a bit. Her napping is still an issue as I think she prefers tummy sleeping as compared to back and hates the swaddling, she wakes up struggling to get out of the swaddle. I will update you once I get colic calm and try that on her. I am still hesitant to get her off Zantac, maybe I will try that early next week if she starts to sleep better.
