Watery discharge after ear-piercing

My niece, eight and half, had ear-piercing some months ago.

You know, in Indian subcontinent, girls pierce their earlobe to wear ornaments.

But after that, there is watery discharge from left earlobe. Our doc gave her Ledum 200 which provided only temporary relief. After Ledum, the discharge and pain stop but return again. Whenever she eat any sour fruit, or whenever any ear-ring is put into it, there is watery discharge along with pain and swelling. The area surrounding the hole becomes SORE.

Does she need a higher potency of Ledum or other remedy? I often doubt if it is the case of ledum.
