like i said before, almost every kind of discoloration of tongue is not believed by school-medicine to be a symptom that needs to be treated, and the oppinions about what the causes are vary big time.
for hom. discoloration can be a very valuable symptom and it's probably worthwhile trying to get a hom. doctor take a look at it and figuring all the other "abnormalties" you have elsewhere in the body 7 mind to get the totality of the symptoms and find the right remedy to get rid of ALL of them.
with me, teethmarks all around the edge of the tongue once helped to find the right remedy for toothache. with toothache, the teethmarks and backtension disappeared :-)
you ask a schoolmediciner about these teethmarks, he will probably just say: well - te tongue might be swollen up - did you eat something hot?"

Hello! I was looking for information regarding "awful" teethmarks all around the toungue, not only on the sides but also on the tip of the tounge. I have been suffering from this as long as I can remeber and I feel ashamed, scared someone will notice etc... I read that you "itsme" tells that you also had marks all around and that they disappeared when you found a remedy for toothache, and that also the backtension disappeared... I need to ask you... where your marks deep or just slightly? Mine are kind of deep and they look of course as the teeth I have... When i try to talk to the dentist about it, if there is something to try to make the tounge look smooth and round without marks she only says that it is not so bad how it looks and doesn't seem to help me at all... I promise it looks bad! I also feel that i have this tension, I always wake up with my tongue pressed against my teeth and the toungue looks more awfull than the night before :/
So you mean it is possible to get rid of these marks?! Do you know if it is possible to make surgery on the tounge to make it look better?! What was your remedy? I don't know where to start and noone seams to help me (like the dentists I have asked) and I have as I said suffered from this for ages... I also want to be able to eat icecream without hiding my tounge and being nervous and ashamed that someone will see how uggly my tounge has become...
