Knee Pain while climbing/bending

Dear Doctors,

My spouse suffering from left knee pain just below the knee cap while performing the following. Please advise on the remedies.

1) Pressure on knee while bending/kneeling during excercise
2) While climbing up stair case
3) after standing for long duration (couple of hours)
4) feeling weakness while descending stairs
5) While getting up from the floor

Height : 5' 4"
Weight: 95 Kg

Looks like beginning of osteoarthritis. The best medicine to prevent it from worsening is walking. Walking helps the cartilage which is like a sponge to get nutrients from the compression and decompression of your body weight as you walk.

Ask her to walk at least 2 kms. every day, and within 2 months, she will start feeling better.
