The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Arsenicum and Ignatia

Hello,
I would first like to thank anyone who responds to my post. It blows my mind people are so concerned about the welfare of others as to make this forum possible.

I have been the typical Arsenicum Album patient, contacting my homeopath when concerned. To be fair I am quite young and I began treatment at a very debilitated state... I have a question to ask and I was hoping to get it answered on here! Haha. Thank you!!

I began treatment with Arsenicum 200C in early September 2016. About a week and a half into it, I started having severe anxiety, had trouble breathing, was red and itchy, felt suffocated in the throat and heart region, etc. etc. We had to stop treatment with Arsenicum temporarily so I could take Ignatia 200, which did wonders for my breathing and helped me cope with the death of my grandmother the year prior and open up emotionally for the first time in two years. I truthfully felt like a zombie before.

We then treated a growth on my finger with Silicea about two weeks into Ignatia, and returned to Arsenicum after that. I have been on Arsenicum again for about a month and a half, and things have been much better. Most of the anxiety is gone and I'm starting to feel like myself again; however, I am having trouble sleeping again. My heart jolts me awake every time I am about to sleep. It was manageable before but now it's keeping me from sleeping. I tried taking AA 200 again a week and a half ago but it only aggravated my other symptoms and did not help my sleeping. After contacting my homeopath, she told me to take I 200 because in our previous appointment I told her I still felt some of the anxiety associated with Ignatia, jerking limbs and muscle spasms upon falling asleep, ball in throat, a constricted rectum, etc.

So, my question is, if I took the last dose of AA 200 about a week and a half ago, and last night took Ignatia 200 for the sleeping troubles, will this stop my body from healing with Arsenicum? I know for a fact Arsenicum is still needed because I aggravated my symptoms last week and they still have been changing. I just couldn't bear the sleeplessness anymore.

I just want to make sure Arsenicum 200C is still working (again, took it a week and a half ago) even though I took Ignatia 200C last night.

Thank you so much for your responses!! I really really appreciate it.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You have to look at this differently.

Imagine you were digging a well and had different tools to work the type of rocks and earth. You switch tools depending what shows up. No one can predict in advance what will show up.

However you have all the tools to handle anything that appears.

Trust your homeopath and try to relax. Things go in layers and no one can predict - ignatia could take care of something and then you go back to AA.

FYI

Ars alb dose has duration of 60 90 days. Ignatia does not antidote it.

Ignatia has effects for 9 days. Ars alb is an antidote for ignatia.

Okay thanks! I really appreciate that. Yes, I have a problem with questioning the healing process when I don't understand what is going on. I am beginning to trust it though.

Thank you,
Riley
