Back Pain-Rhus Tox prescribed

I have severe middle back pain since last 5 months early in the morning from 3 AM onwards. It does not get better until I get out of bed and it I cannot sleep thus. Doctor has prescribed Rhus Tox 200 4 drops diluted with water 3 times a day. Initially it helped such that the pain time shifted to 5 AM and intensity was lower but now it is again back. I am taking these medicines for a week now.

Back pain at 3 am is a characteristic of Kali Carb remedy. May be it'd have helped it better.
