How many drops for a small bottle of globules? Page 3 of 3

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hello Maheeru,

Hope you are well.
My 2.5 year old’s cough has gotten better.
Throughout the past month, sometimes if she has a mild cough, I’d give her phos 30 and very soon it would get better.

Yesterday she began to cough, with sounds of phlegm in her throat.
She got it from her 6 yo sister who was coughing days before but has been recovering well by taking pulsatilla 30. Today her cough is almost gone.
So as usual, I gave the 2yo phos 30 yesterday and the 3rd dosage was last night before she went to sleep.

A few hours after she slept, she began coughing frequently but this time it sounded so dry and painful.
Almost like a very dry barking. She was crying as I knew her throat must be throbbing.
It got worse at dawn. She was even breathing quite rapidly.
The cough usually ends with a gagging but no vomiting so far.
Besides giving her water, I didn’t know how to make her feel better so I have her a spoon of honey.
Thank God, the cough stopped for awhile and she went back to sleep.

Currently, she’s sleeping and her breathing seems back to normal but she still wakes up once in awhile with the cough and crying each time.
I’m thinking maybe the phos 30 is not the remedy this time?
Can you help me with this?
Her condition yesterday was the same like the previous conditions, only this morning it has changed to a dry painful cough.
For dinner last night, she had rice with prawns fried with tumeric. Besides that, nothing out of the ordinary.
3 doses of phos 30 was given yesterday.

Really appreciate your guidance.

You could try Sulph. 30c for your younger daughter. One dose per day for three to four days.

Giving a gap from the air conditioner(like 2 to 3 metres) and making them stay away from the direct line of throw can help.

By noon she has developed a cold, sneezing frequently with clear discharge from nose.
I have given her milk to sooth her throat and the cough has started to sound wetter now, thus reducing her pain from coughing.
The cough is also quite frequent.

She still has good appetite and quite a good mood though.

Should I continue with the sulph 30?
I have not given her any remedy today.

Thank you.

Current update at 9.30pm.

Her sneezing has reduced but she has an extremely runny nose.
Watery clear discharge.
She is still coughing about once in every 30 minutes, and it sounds really phlegmy.
At least she’s not crying everytime she coughs.
Her eyes are red and watery.
She looks quite tired but still plays and eats well.

No remedy has been given yet.

Update at 11.30pm
She’s becoming weaker and developing a mild fever at 37.8c.

Update at 1.50 am
Her fever is rising; 38.1c.
I’m doing sponging on her.
Her breathing is getting rapid.
She’s coughing alot (phlegmy) and she keeps waking up although she’s tired.
She’s taking frequent sips of water.

You can give her Ferrum phos. 3x or 6x three to four times a day.

You can also give sulphur 30c. Leave a gap of one hour between sulph and Ferrum Phos if they are to be given one after another.

maheeru 5 years ago
I don’t have ferrum phos in any potency.
I have given her sulph 30c.

Any other remedies I can give her while I order Ferrum Phos?
I’m going to order 6x. Should I order it in other potencies as well?
It will take about 4 days to arrive.

Here are the remedies that I own:
1) Aconite
2) Allium cepa
3) ars alb
4) belladonna
5) bryonia alba
6) chamomilla
7) hep sulph
8) kali bich
9) nat mur
10) phos
11) puls
12) ant tart
13) nux vomica
14) drosera
15) rumex crispus
16) sulphur
17) lyco
18) calc carb

Any other remedies I should include in the order?

She barely slept last night due to her coughs.
She still has her fever.
I’m worried that she’ll have her pneumonia attack again.

I really appreciate your guidance, thank you.

I thought you had ferr. phos tissue salt---can't you get this sooner to use today or tomorrow?. May be 30c can be had in addition.

Phos. 1M, Sulph., calc. carb., Lyc. in 200c, Kali sulph. can be included.

maheeru 5 years ago
My supplier was out of tissue salts so I don’t have it yet.
They are my only supplier here and they are 5 hours away, so usually shipping would take a few days.
What I do have is what my previous homeopath prescribed as ‘multipurpose’ remedy, which perhaps maybe is ferr. Phos.
I could try giving her that.

I have all the remedies you’ve mentioned in 200c and phos 1c.
Kali sulph I will order. Thank you.

She woke up this morning coughing, but no more fever.
Once she got out of the house (exposed to fresh air) to send her sister to school, she sneezed all the way with thick greyish discharge.
She requested to have a bath and now despite coughing, sneezing and breathing quite rapidly, she’s much more cheerful than last night.
Talkative and wants to play.

I gave the sulph 30 to her at 3.30am last night.
It should only be given once a day for 3/4 days, am I correct?

Update at 11.30pm
-gave her 4 doses of ‘multipurpose’ remedy that I’m assuming is ferr phos.
-will give her a dose of sulph 30 at 12am.
-no obvious improvement seen today, besides the fever being gone.
-sneezing and coughing alot.
-very watery nose.
-coughing seems to be worse when lying down and sleeping.
-sounds partially phlegmy. Sometimes sounds dry.
-no coughing when eating.
-still in a good mood and good appetite.

Don't give that multi purpose remedy we do not know what's in it exactly. That can cloud the picture.

Make sulph. 30c dosage two times a day for three/four days, if she aggravates then make it once a day.

Always keep ferr. phos. 3x or 6x handy. It's always good for first stage of congestion/inflammation.

maheeru 5 years ago
Oh ok, I will stop giving her the multipurpose remedy.

I have tried to deal with the supplier for an urgent order.
Maybe I can get the Ferr phos. tomorrow. If yes, I’ll give her that.
With double the dosage of sulph 30c.

Thank you for your time and commitment.

namn 5 years ago
I have given my 2yo, 5 doses of sulph 30 within these 4 days.
I tried giving her double dosage but her cough got really bad and I saw this as an aggravation, so I sticked to one dosage per day.

So far, the sneezing has stopped.
But the coughing has changed to a very thick phlegmy cough.
She would cough consistently throughout the day, and it would be particularly worse at midnight.
It’s hard for her to stop coughing as I’m guessing her throat is tickling.
Once in awhile thick yellow discharge would come out from her nose.

Her mood and appetite are excellent.

The ferr.phos has yet to arrive.. shipping problem during this festive season.
Maybe it will arrive tomorrow.

Could you please guide on what I should do next?
Thank you.

Above was written at 11pm.

Update at 6am:
-for the first time in days, she slept well last night.
-did not wake up from coughing.
-but as she woke up, she started sneezing repeatedly. 3-4 times at a time.
-and now she has a runny nose again.
-she’s still coughing.
-she has had very limited usage of aircond and strong fan.

Give sulph 30c every three days, giving two days gap.

If f.p has arrived give that too.

When i get time in a couple of days will list new medicines to get. Seems her cough has become somewhat chronic and difficult. More difficult is to differentiate cough symptoms because sometimes i just could not see such distinguishing symptoms in the description even though you do write somewhat descriptively.

If you think there are some unique or peculiar symptoms do include them.

I really do appreciate your time and commitment, maheeru.
Sorry for the delay, had guests over and was quite occupied.

The last dosage of sulph 30 given was on 6/6.
I have also given ferr phos 6x, 3 times a day for 3 days now.

Her current condition:
-coughing frequency has reduced 80%.
-however once in awhile when she does cough, the intensity is very strong in terms of the thickness of mucus at her throat.
-the mucus seems to be alot there, and it is thick and stubborn.
-face reddens when coughing.
-no more sneezing. But her nose is still watery with thick clear discharge like egg white.
-overall, her condition is improving. However, as always, the issue is now to get rid of the mucus completely.

About the unique symptoms, I’ve always wondered why my 2yo gets sick easily despite me taking care of her food and hygiene.
-main diet consists of rice, protein and veggies and fruits, only drinks plain water(never given sweetened drinks), never given sweets and junk food, very limited gluten intake, any food that induces mucus is avoided as much as possible.
I’ve also been labeled as being over-controlling for practicing this, but I really do want to try my best to prevent my kids from getting sick.
-to strengthen her immune system, I give her 1 tsp of VCO a day, pure honey, and sometimes vit c.

About you saying her symptoms are unclear, my 2yo has had countless visits with 3 established homeopaths since birth, mainly because of coughing, and I’ve realized they too, see her case as being quite tricky.

The first time she really recovered well was when you prescribed the phosphorus, and I was really happy that finally, she has found ‘the’ remedy.

I do have some information that the homeopaths and doctors said that may be useful for you too.
I will email it to you as I dont feel comfortable writing it publicly.

Again, thank you for willing to help me and my child.

Since yesterday, her cough has gotten bad again.
So today I gave her sulph 30 after only a 1 day gap.
This is her 5th dose since 31/5, alongside with ferr phos 6x.
I can’t say there are any obvious improvements.
Maybe lesser frequency, but I don’t think she’s recovering well.

It is 3am and she’s coughing badly, usually it starts at this time.
The aircond is not on.
It sounds dry and painful.
And as if it won’t leave her alone.
Her face is red, her eyes watery.
She seems always thirsty, never resisting a sip from her bottle.
No gagging or vomiting.
It’s exhausting to hear her cough.
Can’t imagine how she feels.

I wish I could be more clear with the symptoms, but this is what I can tell you..
Please ask more questions so that I can help you to help my child.

Give her Kali carb 30c.

maheeru 5 years ago
I do not have kali carb yet.. will order now.
Anything I can give in the meantime?

namn 5 years ago
Your description had some distinguishing symptoms, so i gave that advice. I think getting remedies in time is a problem. Things can change or if there is a delay of more than a day in getting medicines. With the problem she is having, you should be able to buy medicines in no time.

Sometimes we can not predict the remedy so i'm unable to give you the medicines that can come up in future accurately.

If you have Ars alb or Bell., you might try but we'll have to see what happens.

maheeru 5 years ago
I totally understand.
I traveled to the supplier shop this morning and now got all the medicines you mentioned.
I have given my child 1 dosage of kali carb 30.
Will update her condition later.
Thank you.
