Inflamed sinuses

My 5 years old woke up talking funny like he is pinching his nose while talking. I asked him to blow his nose but it seems open (he can breathe through keeping his mouth closed) so I think it's more about his throat?
Like mucus trapped in throat? Not sure about the color.
It started after he walked a few miles in a very cold day.
Tried kali bich but it didn't help.
Suggestions?

Try giving him ferrum phos 6x and kali mur 6x ,
2 tabs of each 4 times a day for 2 days . Then report.
Or you could try one dose of aconite 6c or 30 c.
If you do aconite, then watch for improvement for the next 6 hours. If
You notice he feels a bit better, then do not give another dose, until you clearly see he is going backwards.

Thanks for your reply.
Kali mur is actually what I usually give him for his cold but this time it didn't work although the cold finally progressed to something clearer.
He wakes up congested in the nose with loose yellow mucus.
He still talks nasal.
Very whiny and needy.

Tried kali bich but wasn't the right remedy either.
I am at a loss .... it has been a week and a half now.

Try 2 tabs of kali sulph, calc phos, ferrum phos, kali mur and dissolve
In a cup of water. Give him a sip of the water
4x a day and see how that works. Kali sulph is for yellow mucous specifically.
