Withdrawing from Cymbalta

I am at 30mg Cymbalta with one week to go until I stop taking it all together. I have been on 90mg for 8 years. Since being on 30mg for 3 weeks I am experiencing severe insomnia, nausea, diarhea, aversion to protein and increased pain. Is there anything you can recommend to help me please so I can function daily? I am a 55 year old female, 5'2", 225lbs

I have no nausea. I started the Rhus Sept 19. I have daily diahrea. I must take anti-diahrea medication upon awakening. Can you please tell me what this or these should be helping with? I crave knowledge. Thank you, Donna

The homeopathic remedies help to heal and restore your health.

Also you can find the remedy info here on the website.

Now can you tell more about the diarrhea?

Is it only happening upon awakening?

Any pain?

What sort of things make it better?
Any Specific time of the day? (e.g Early morning, noon, evening, after midnight etc)

Having any type of foods / drinks?

Any specific posture? (e.g bending knees, lie on a back etc)

And how about your insomnia?

How is the pain?

Is there any new symptom or anything new?

How are you feeling in general? How is your mood?

Thank you for your response. The diarrhea is around the clock. It is liquid and explosive. There is no pain. I am unable to find relief from it without using over the counter medications. I take them upon awakening on days I have to leave the house, otherwise I let it happen in the hopes it is clearing my body of toxins. My insomnia is extreme with most nights my night falling asleep until between 4 - 7 am. I am able to sleep well after a counselling session or a wellness treatment, like massage or Reiki. I am alert and active during the day/evening even during the early morning hours when sleep has not come. I do not nap and I always practise healthy sleep habits learned years ago from the sleep clinic at the hospital. I am experiencing a return of emotions and memories since stopping the medication. It always happens at bedtime. I use breathing techniques and prayer(mediatation)and aromatherapy at bedtime to assist me. the pain is at an almost untolerable level. I had foot care this morning and it was very painful. I have had it done for 4 years by a diabetic nurse and never felt any pain. During my massage I had to ask the therapist to not touch specific areas of my body and to lessen his pressure until he was barely touching me. Standing, walking and wearing shoes is really painful. I am experiencing anal leakage during sleep usually and that is new about 3 weeks. In general, I fell well and I am healthier than ever the past 4 months being able to discontinue one of three diabetes meds and stopping high blood pressure, rapid heart and high cholesterol medications. The last three are now normal conditions. My mood is positive and joyful. I intentional keep alert to negative thoughts or emotions and have strategies to refocus them. I have rediscovered the emotions of sadness, anguish and joy. the past two weeks I have found body laughter and create situations frequently to engage in it. These feelings have been suppressed by C-PTSD and psychotropic medications that I was given for imagined mental health issues I did not have at doctor's insistence. I am doing well and have given myself a year to recover from the effects of the medication. Thank you for all your time and knowledge.

I am having difficulty finding alfalfa mother tincture in London, Ontario Canada in retail homeopathy stores and online from a Canadian store. If you are Canadian can you please advise where I can purchase it? Neither store I went to is able to order it and they carry a large selection of homeopathic and tinture remedies. Thank you

Oh, OK.

If it difficult to find mother tincture, you can also use Alfalfa tablet or tea. I think you can find it at organic store or vitamin shop?

or Amazon

or iHerb

Could you please tell me why you recommend buying Alfalfa? I am asking if the benefits outweigh the risk of lowering blood sugars.

dshahen 5 years ago
I've recommended Alfalfa tincture for insomnia but you don't have to take it if you don't want to.

Tui 5 years ago
Thank you. With this knowledge, I can choose if getting sleep is as important as dealing with low glucose levels. I have been experiencing those frequently while in withdrawals. I am still trying to locate the other suggestion. But working on it.
