Hi Dr Reva,

my son seems to have acquired a meddorhinum personality now and he is driving us absolutely nuts. Here's what we are observing:

- he never had a sense of time, was always a procrastinator, but now he has become as extreme as can be. Before he would do everything that he didn't like (example, homework) at the 11th hour. Now, he has either stopped doing completely or is doing everything late.

- If he makes an appointment with someone at lets say 1PM, before he would finish his preparations at the very last minute and meet the person just on time or a few mins late. Now, he starts preparing for meeting the person at 1:20PM and goes to meet the person at 1:30PM, making him wait half an hour! This is after being pushed so many times to be on time.

- Last one year, he had become a loner and was just spending time on his phone and internet all the time. Now, he has transformed into a social animal, again extreme, he wants to hang out with some 20-25 year old friends he has made here, some of whom we don't really like. He wastes the morning watching videos on youtube, etc and then disappears all day with these people and appears back late in the night. We get to know later sometimes where he was and what he did. Socializing is good for him as becoming a loner last year was not good for him, but now he has taken the other extreme. He is still very immature, and he seems to select those people as his friends who are not the best people to hang out with and seem to take advantage of him.

- If he doesn't get what he wants, he gets violent and has hit me a few times in the last few days. So, it's either his way or the highway.

- He has almost completely stopped doing his homework and not completed his college application and the deadline is very near.

- In general, he has become extreme in some ways; however, the immaturity, hygiene issues, still are the same.

Is this normal? What do you suggest? The way it is going, I'm inclined to go back home any day, as he is not doing what he came here for but other things.

what makes you say this please:
seems to have acquired a meddorhinum personality

I gave examples above.

- In addition, seems to like lying down on his abdomen all the time. This is new.

- I've seen browsing history of porn videos early morning on his computer. Before I observed this sometimes late nights back home last year.

Boericke does not have a matching description of his behavior in Medhorinum. It is often witnessed that lying on abdomen is helped with Medhorinum on the same night (they lie on back after Medhorinum). Are you implying that he got worse after Medhorinum and this is the only contributor

Reva V 5 years ago
Lying down on abdomen started after Medhorrhnum.

I don't know what to say. I just noted above what differences I've seen after medhorrhinum. Also, he is driving us nuts by doing exactly as he pleases; there is no reasoning with him any more :)

Such things are covered in Homeo as "Problem Children". And very good and specific solutions given by the Masters. Need is to know and read.

You seem to read more and have experience. Can you please help this father, who is desperate to find that works for his son. Please write your prescription to him

Peaks,

Spending time in watching inappropriate videos brew from a few sources including,
a. the sexual impurity from hereditary taint in the blood attracting similar activities to repeat
b. Parents allowing kids to have open Internet connection (with no parental lock at the router or isp) and have not mastered gentle (with love) and effective control
c. Age related hormone variations

Thuja helps with the 1st one. 2nd is to be addressed by you. 3rd will be addressed after 1st.

There was no videos a 100 years ago. This is reducing homeo to a joke.

Thanks for explaining Dr Reva. This should help address the inappropriate stuff hopefully.

Dr Reva, my son's biggest issue is lack of maturity per his age. We believe once he matures, lot of the other issues will address themselves as he will start to learn from his mistakes.

Please suggest something to address this. Thanks.

The other main issue is procrastination.

Yes. Constitutional remedies have broad spectrum influence

To be clear, one dose of Thuja will do almost nothing noticeable. This is to see how he is doing with the first dose and then repeat with varying potency to shift

Sorry for the delay here. I finally was able to give him Thuja yesterday. As you wrote, I have not noticed any change yet though I'm concerned some wart(s) might show up.

Please do not give any medicine if you are concerned for any reason (in future).

Seasons greetings! Please let me know what to do next. Last few days, he's been stressed out as he is late for finishing the current semester. He's been expressing a lot of anger on us these days - this has been normal for the past 1 year or so. When he is stressed out and sleeps less, he becomes very very angry.

We feel once he becomes mature enough for his age, rest of the issues will automatically become better as he can start to think for himself. Sure, he will still make mistakes, but hopefully he can then start to learn from them. Right now, he seems to do everything for us and not for himself and that is not right.

Sorry for interrupting. But did the symptom correspond to PODOPHYLUM as you read about the medicines prescribed

Dr.Ak1 5 years ago
I suggest you read HYOSCYAMUS

A lot of medicines match his symptoms as is the case in homeopathy in general. Its hard for me to say...
