Need suggestion on combining 2 remedies

My father is suffering from elevated uric acid levels as well as bunion of first toe. He was taking Benzoic Acid 1M which benefited him. Lately he sprained his shoulder as well while doing some exercise & Bryonia 1M is giving him relief. I do not want him to stop Bryonia because he does some lifting work.

So my question is that is it correct to mix few drops of both the remedies & take it? I have seen some cases where more than remedy was administered depending upon the current symptoms so I wanted to clarify with the doctors/experts here.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If lifting causes sprain, Rhustox is more appropriate than Bry.

You ask if combining is correct? I'd retort, accoding to whom? :) According to fundamentals of homeopathy, combining two medicines at a time is a bad idea. But in practice, homeopaths have found combinations work some times. There will be a bias towards either of the approach, always. Case management is easy with minimum number of medicines and it'd be difficult to assess when more than one medicine is involved.

Try to find one remedy that covers both set of symptoms. If not, do not use both remedies in 1M. Use one in lower potency. The one that is close to mental state and major complaint in bigger potency and the other one in lower potency. In this-- may be use Benz. 1M every 10 days and in between Rhus 6c or 30c.
