Aethusa 200C for a colicky 5 month old

Hello

My 5 month old breastfed baby is very colicky and shows the following symptoms
1. He gets very gassy after milk feedings and is very hard to burp.
2. He is usually uncomfortable after feedings and spits up curdled milk and needs to be burped a lot
3. Cow's milk in my diet bothers him a lot. He has green mucousy bowels when I consume it. I have been off dairy and all dairy products for some time and that seems to help his issues but they are not completely resoled
4. He also has a hard time with bowel movements and seems to be in a much better mood after he goes. His gas is mostly in the lower abdominal area. Probiotics help him but have not completely resolved the issue
5. He does not sleep well at night. Wakes up at least 10-15 times for soothing due to digestive issues. Once I give him any gas medicine and burp him (which usually takes at least 20 minutes after medicine) he feels better and goes to bed.
6. He is a happy baby when he does not have tummy issues but does not like making too much direct eye contact. He is very observant. His extremities are usually cold and clammy. His head is sometimes sweaty after sleep. he feels better when being held or sat upright and with pressure on his belly. He is sensitive to things like diaper changes, clothing changes, small accidents and cries quite a bit with those.

I reached out to a homeopath in India and was prescribed Aethusa 200c every other day. But it is making him severely constipated. 2 months back, I had reached out to a local homeopath and she had prescribed Aethusa 30c and I remember he got constipated with that as well. After giving any Aethusa remedy, he stops spitting up but the colic related to not having bowel movements is extremely painful.

Please let me know if there are any suggestions. I stopped giving Aethusa a week after I realized it was causing him discomfort and his issues resolved once I stopped it.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Give him Calc. carb. 30c.

One pill/drop as a dose early in the morning after he wakes up and takes anything else. There should be a gap of 20 to 30 minutes after the medicine and any food/drink item.

In this manner, give him a dose every week for 6 to 8 weeks.

Any uncomfortable symptom in between report, otherwise finish the course. Keep posted about the changes.

Thanks - I will try this. Is this to be taken daily or weekly ?

NOT to be taken DAILY. If you have doubt re-read the instruction and if you have any more doubts, ask away.

It is instead WEEKLY schedule.

Got it. Thanks. Gave the first weekly dose early today and am seeing some improvements. He is able to burp a lot more easily after a long time. Thank you and will keep you posted of progress.

Good, Welcome. If with any of the dose , he improves 80 to 100% or significantly, you need not repeat next dose mechanically and you can report so that repetition can be made with appropriate intervals or stopped.

Update - His gas is getting better. He is able to burp a lot more easily. However, he still is having a hard time with bowel movement. On rough nights, I have to use windi which is like a rectal thermometer to stimulate a bowel movement upon which he does go.

Also ever since starting this remedy, I have noticed that his sleep is getting worse. He does not nap more than an hour which is not typical for him. It was 1.5-2.5 hours before. He is also quite up at nights. Before he had night wakings, but soothing him but now he just seems more awake . Not sure if this is related to the remedy though.

You have given one dose right and not many doses?

Ok, get calc. carb 6 and let dissolve one pill/drop in 125ml water bottle. Shake this bottle up and down gently for four times, in the downward motion, hit the bottle gently against the inner palm of the other hand. From this solution, give two drops as a dose.

Observe changes over next four days and report.
