Sulphur for chronic ear problems in dogs

Over the last several months my dog (60 lbs) has had an ear infection in just the left ear. I have been giving him 3-4 months ago several pellets of sulphur 30c once a month for about 2 months. It got better, so I stopped. Now it is back.
What do you advice I do? Sulphur worked though.
