I am 42 years old male...
Since Jan 2019, I was studying as I had to change my current job. Due to which I was under lots of stress and pressure as I had to do my day to day job as well.
In February, I was diagnosed pilonidal cyst and doctor recommended surgery. The disease was present since December 2018 and was on 2 times antibiotics - amoxicillin and clindamycin. I had reaction with Clindamycin as a result I had severe diarrhea, which subsided in a weak. After that, I decided to lose weight as I was overweight by 23 pounds. Hence I left Gluten and dairy and reduced my tea/coffee intake.
Three months passed by and I lost 20 lbs On April 21, I went to temple and ate spicy food and roti made of wheat – gas and bloating started all of a sudden.
On April 29 Went to Atlanta, Georgia – I ate sandwich in the morning. I ate spicy food and roti in first night's dinner. Next few days – feverish and unable to get complete sleep. Second day had sore throat feeling. Also got heavy constipation – didn’t poop for 3 days. Came back home on May 02 with Gas and Bloating.
On May 09, I went to primary care physician – who did my blood tests and ultrasound – nothing came out. She advised me to go to GI doctor.
On May 18, I ate bread omelette in the breakfast had to go to urgent care as I felt heavy nausea that I couldn't drive. Nothing came out.
On May 21, I ate Rotis along with normal vegetables. Gas bloating and burning started again
On May 29, I ate spicy + South Indian spice at a friend’s house. Gas bloating and burning sensation started again
When all of this started, I feel body pain too after few days, which subsides. Also, I was eating regular spices in the food meanwhile until 05/17.
I had all tests done except endoscopy, that hasn’t revealed anything. I went to India in August 2019 and had shown our family doctor in India. He had retested me as well. Besides gall bladder polyp, no issue found. Doctor put me on pantoprazole and simethicone. The problem seemed to be started to suppress. Then one of my relatives recommended me to show a homeopath. Which happened and things really improved a bit. But the problem of anxiety and depression got aggravated. I used to have high blood pressure as well. I started to have pimples on my face, neck and head. Also, then started my sore throat. I stopped the homeopathic medicine and the pimples went away. I went back to my PCP who gave me alprazolam, which actually helped me. But as soon as I stopped it, anxiety came back along with headaches. This time, the intensity of anxiety was high. I also started to have a crunching pain near my left shoulder. My PCP got ECG done as well as XRay – all normal. So, she concluded it was anxiety.
At this time, my sore throat continued. So, I showed to an ENT specialist in Jan 2020. Laryngoscopy was performed which didn’t reveal anything. Hence I was prescribed pantoprazole and famotidine. I realized that this would just suppress the symptoms.
March 2020, I had a scheduled follow-up appointment with gastroenterologist, who told me to continue with pantoprazole and famotidine for a month. If symptoms doesn’t go away, he will perform an endoscopy. I also showed myself to an ayurvedic doctor – not much helping as I am taking two different medicines – allopathic as well as ayurvedic. I can’t leave allopathic medicine as leaving it starts the reflux. But what I know was that when I was taking homeopathic medicine, I didn’t have to take allopathic medicine. I am really looking for a solution to this issue rather than more and more tests.
In addition to the details above, I also have issue in my left eye, as shown below in the picture below. The issue is not yet causing any trouble other than being there. I have shown it to eye doctor and was examined. The doctor told me that currently it is benign and looks like pigmentation. Needs monitoring.
More information about myself how I feel about myself:
Ignoring the current condition I am into, I am a very free will and easy going person. When I was a child, less than 2 years of age, I suffered a major fever condition that had me under doctor’s care for weeks. I am not aware of what it was called. I do remember how it happened. In India, there is a tradition that as a child reaches around 2 years, his/her head got shaved and then the child has to have a dip in the water. When it was done to me, I caught cold and that went bad. That’s why I was kept under doctor’s supervision. Time passed by after that. I was happy and jolly person, but I used to keep my mouth shut (kind of an introvert person). When I was around 10 years of age, I had a head injury due to a road accident. Right side of my skull got open and had to be sewed back by the doctors. Fast forward a few years, I don’t know the age, I had a nasal surgery because of breathing problems I was facing. During the same surgery, my tonsils got removed as well. I don’t remember the reason for the same.
Moving ahead, my life was full with friends. I passed graduation and post-graduation. I got my dream job as well. One thing is that I have to work hard to achieve my goals. During the working hard period, I am literally focused on the target and work towards it. It is also stressful period for me. Two years after I started working, I was having pain in my abdominal area and was diagnosed with Kidney stones. It got removed using laser after giving anesthesia. Until the stone was removed, the period was very painful as well as full of feeling vomit. Anyways, three years after my job, I got married as well. After 2 years of marriage, we moved to US in 2008. In 2006, we had our first daughter born. It was an ecstatic moment.
In 2013, I was also having the same pain as I had in 2007 – again kidney stone. Although this time, the stone came out at its own, the pain was excruciating. All this time, I was overweight, but never bothered about it. Although overweight, I was pretty active as well. We also had our second daughter in 2013. I still remember spending night in hospital with my wife, though was never anxious. Also, in 2017 October, my father was diagnosed with urinary bladder issue. I was here in US and they were in India. I got too worried that I started looking for alternative therapies as well. Hence I started searching all over the web. I think that was the trigger point for me going into deep into the problem of too much searching. I think this is one of the reasons for my anxiety. The problem is that I am not able to come out of it. Then came December 2018, I had a small boil near my tailbone. I went to show my PCP. She gave me antibiotics. It healed but after a week, it came back. I was given another antibiotic in Feb 2019.
