Medicinal Actions & Uses:

Effects Tissues: plasma, blood, fat

Effects Systems:
Digestive- vomiting, nausea, obesity, parasites and intestinal worms, jaundice and liver cleanser, peptic ulcers
Circulatory- blood purifier and detoxifier, fevers
Skin- skin diseases (urticaria, eczema, ringworm), boils, wounds, skin ulcers
Respiratory- cough, mucus membrane ulceration, bronchitis, tuberculosis
Muscu-Skeletal- arthritis, rheumatism, inflammation of muscles and joints
Immunity- tumors, malaria

Properties: alterative, insecticidal, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, spermicidal, bitter tonic, antipyretic, anthelmintic, antiseptic, antiemetic

Constituents: Neem contains meliacins, triterpenoid bitters, tannins, and flavoids.

Flowers- stimulant, tonic, stomachic
Nut/Seed Oil- local stimulant, insecticide, antiseptic, spermicidal
Juice- anthelmintic, the juice expressed from the leaves is applied externally to ulcers, wounds, boils, and eczema.
Leaves- discutient, emmenagogue, antiviral
Fruit- purgative, emollient, anthelmintic
Twigs- used to clean teeth, firm up gums and preventing gum disease
Bark- astringent, antiperiodic, bitter, tonic, vermifuge, antiviral
Root bark- astringent, antiperiodic, bitter tonic
