3 year old baby weak after fever

Came to India from USA 3 weeks ago. He suffered from fever one week after coming and i did some home remedies and gave him phosphorus ,the fever was gone overnight. Then one week later he suddenly started vomiting and there was high fever after noting a few other symptoms i gave him pulsatilla for two days but it didnt help. Had no choice but to give him pediatric paracetamol which helped a bit but not much. So on day 3 of the fever I took him to a local doctor who gave him injections and diagnosed it as viral fever. We did some lab test and his hemoglobin is low and there is protein(albumin) in his urine. The doctor did say that both could be because of the high fever (i also read that it could be a side effect of prescribed medication)but was concerned about the albumin in urine. Told us to wait a few days and take another lab test to see if there is improvement if not then he wants to get the babies kidneys checked. He has also prescribed antibiotics for three days which would finish today.
As for the baby he is very tired extremely clingy wants to be carried all the time and is sleepy the whole day. Eats very little is very thirsty but just drinks small sips of water. He seems to have lost lots of weight(normally he is slightly underweight for his age but now he is very skinny)The fever was coming only at night after the injections but last night there was no fever so fever has improved too. He does seem little homesick too.
What i am worried about now is the urine situation and the weakness and tiredness that is still there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
