Myopia 9 year old child

Please help, my nine year old daughter has developed myopia over past year and half, I learned it is probably from a lot of reading. I am heartbroken, I did not understand this can happen, and regret not protecting her precious eyes had I only known. She is -2.0 in both eyes with no astigmatism. She can’t see well at a distance, such as writing on the classroom chalkboard, but she can see well closeup.

Please let me know if you can help recommend a remedy, and what questions I need to ask her to identify the correct remedy. I am hoping that her eyes can be helped.
