Constipation with need to Press on Abdomen to GoGreetings,
I am a 60 year old female, 5’ 9”, 150 lbs. I have had six children and one miscarriage. Youngest child is 19 Issue for me is ongoing constipation for several years. Last year I had a colonoscopy due to the fact that I almost always have to press very hard on the right side of the abdomen to have a bowel movement which is often incomplete. Colonoscopy found a large loop and two kinks in colon on that side. Doctor said due to many children and my body build. Said they used to do surgery for this condition but no longer do (I would not do surgery anyway) and to use miralax daily which I have not done due to the chemical composition of that product. Also have prolapsed bladder so really need to not be constipated. Eat a whole foods diet and no sugars at all. Drink lots of water. Also have had hypoglycemia for most of my life and in the past 20 years chemical sensitivities to any perfumes, essential oils, candles, etc. I tend to be more of an anxious person and deal with some OCD. I am first born and perfectionist. Does anyone have suggestions as to remedy that would help get things moving through the colon which is my main issue at this time?
Thank you so much!
