When to take next dose(after 2 months) after some relief
Hi,I have been suffering from severe IBS for over 15 years. I have tried to find Similia in Homeo using Remedy Finder and Kent lectures. I think Nux Vomica seems to be suited best for my disposition.
Anger
Irritable; sensitive to all impressions
Disposed to reproach others
consolotaion aggravates.
weight and pain in stomach; worse, eating, some time after

Some of the symptoms which dont seem to match are:
1. Aversion to meat(I like eating meat though I cant due to porr digestion)
2. No cravings for tobacco or coffee
3. I dont wake up at 3 AM.
My IBS is so severe that I eat very less. I have taken 1 M, 2 months back, as the mental symtoms are severe and present since childhood. Me and persons closest to me have noticed reduction in the irritability(Still present), however no noticable increase in digestion(There is some improvement in appetite).Now, the progress seems to have halted for over a month. Should I take another medicine or wait for some time ?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Can you please kindly explain why you are suggesting Aloe. I have heard we should not change the remedy if it has worked.

Very difficult question but the answer is simple Aloe S has cured some cases in my practice
A very nice effort by you in trying to deduce constitutional remedy but it’s difficult I did my first case in 1992 and am still not very confident about deducing constitutional remedy
Your choice of potency was wrong
it is very high as an opening potency, even a chronic case like yours
To ensure that you have chosen the right remedy you have to aggravate the symptoms and the right potency is 30 which mildly aggravates and with the first dose itself
At times even professional homeopaths have to resort to more than one remedy
Repetition single dose treatment is best left to professional and experienced homeopaths
Now please do not question me on this explanation, if you are keen to learn my mail Id is in my profile
Be rest assured once your IBS is gone half the mental symptoms will go though the prescription shud be based more on mental symptoms starting with strong likes and dislikes, intelligence, memory and peculiar mental symptom but as you have this IBS for a decade and a half I feel this shud be treated first

Thank you for giving your time for me.
I don't have Aloe 200 with me at the moment. I have taken Aloe 30 and have placed an order for 200. Hope that is okay.
I am currently in middle of bad flareup and after taking the remedy flatulence has reduced and I can feel getting better. â
For the potency(Nux Vomica) I have taken, I have considered following factors.
I am 30 years old, leads a sedentary life(sits throughout) and my work is intellectual, The mental symptoms(irritability etc) and digestion problems I have mentioned were also present since the childhood. However they have increased since 15 years(left home for studies) .The mental symptoms(irritability, reproaching, sensitive to impressions),I have mentioned are very striking even to others. I understand your point about aggravation, and agree was too quick to jump the gun due to inexperience. I did visit multiple professional Homeopaths over the years with no result, and wanted to try figuring this myself as the last hope.
I dont know if my IBS can be cured without a constitutional remedy. Antim crud, Hydrastis, Aloes(less frequently) are the medicines I generally use to get over my flare ups.But they always comeback. I am feeling slightly better(mentally) after taking Nux Vomica. But I am needing these other remedies to get over my flareups. Is it proof enough that I am needing other remedies(lower potencies:6,30) that I didn't choose the correct remedy. I would be very grateful if you can share your valuable advise and next steps.

Take Aloe S 30 thrice a day for two three days depending on IBS symptoms till they are 50-60% better

My stomach is always a little disturbed. Lot of foods (milk, meat, beans) cause flare ups.
What is physically and mentally happening during this flare up and what how and when do these flare up subside , how frequent any periodicity of these flare ups
There is no fixed time period. Typically I notice a slight decline every week or so. I tend to get sad and more irritable and weak during these issues. I use one of the above mentioned medicines(Antim crud, hydrastis, Aloe) to get better.

You have not posted your age
You may continue with Aloe for another 2-3 days till u AR about 60% better
BTW Aloe also removes the bad effects of the remedies taken previously

Sorry to butt in but I would just like to say to airfairfeeng that
that you dont know that you have managed to reach a solution halfway by BEING AWARE of your not only physical but MENTAL symptoms.
I am a fellow sufferer of IBS too.
But I don't have it my spouse has it. He though is very well aware of his physical symptoms , is totally in denial of mental symptoms. The whole family suffers through his bout of flare-up, his aggressive rude boorish behavior.
We have taken help from various homeopaths and Anuj Srivastava ji has also helped but he is not helping himself and abandons treatment after some time.
So I must Cogratulate you and urge you to seek this treatmenr and continue with it for yours as well as your family s sake.
