Arnica Montana 30C Pellets and Heartburn

I had surgery 4 days ago and started taking 5 Arnica Montana 30C pellets 3 times a day. I have been on Nexium for 3 years and have had no heartburn. Suddenly I am experiencing heartburn again. Could it be caused by the Arnica pellets?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Stop using Nexium which I note you have used for 3 years and will perhaps use for life, and replace this drug with Nat Phos 6x (Biochemic) which you can get from Hylands or Washington Home Products. Dose 2 tablets take after lunch and dinner. You will discover that this remedy is far more effective than the drug and what is more, it will stabilize your stomach and you will not want it in a few weeks to help your digestion. It will also reduce your weight.

Arnica cannot be the cause of your heartburn and will only speed your recovery after surgery. I hope you are taking Arnica 30 in the wet dose made by inserting 3 pellets into a 500ml bottle of spring water which you shake hard before you sip a teaspoonful 3 times daily.

What kind of surgery ??

Thank you to both Joe De Livera and Pankaj Varma for taking the time to reply. I appreciate your responses. The surgery was medically required plastic surgery on my eye. Joe, I will buy the Nat Phos 6X (Biochemic), from one of the two places that you suggested. I love the fact that it will help me to lose weight, as well. I noticed however, that it has been recommended as helping to relieve constipation and that has never been my problem. Rather when I experience any such problems, which is not very frequently, it is usually loose stools. The Nat Phos 6X (Biochemic) will not increase this tendency will it? Also you said to stop taking Nexium. Is that because the Nat Phos will not be effective if I take the Nexium? I was taking Nexium because my original diagnosis was Barrett's Esophagus, but that was later changed to a lesser diagnosis, but the internist wanted me to continue with the Nexium. Additionally, I need clarification of your statement that it will stabilize my stomach and that I will 'not want it in a few weeks' to help my digestion. Does that mean that I should stop taking it in a few weeks or should I continue for months and even years, even if I no longer want it? I have a lot of weight to lose, so I would like to continue, unless it is better not to do so. Per your last comment, I did not know about 'wet doses' for the Montana Arnica 30C, so I used it as the directions recommended: i.e.; 5 pellets taken 3 times a day. I will be stopping the Arnica soon, because the stitches are coming out tomorrow and a lot of the swelling and discoloration has already disappeared. Once again, Joe, thank you for your suggestions and I am waiting to hear your response.

The Nexium (Omeprazole) that you have been prescribed is one of the current drugs that are used which inhibits the production of acid in the stomach instead of antacids which comprise Aluminium Hydroxide which were commonly used for reducing the acid level in the stomach about 10 years ago. I believe that you were prescribed Nexium for your hyperacidity which can cause GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) and one of the side effects is loose stools which you are experiencing now. This has nothing to do with Arnica and is possibly the reaction that you can expect after using this drug for 3 years. The most common side effects are diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headaches, rash and dizziness.

Nat Phos 6x works in a different manner by accelerating the passage of food down the gut and thereby preventing the production of excess acids in the stomach. Unlike the drugs that are commonly prescribed this remedy is absolutely safe in use and can be used for extended periods for weight reduction when it has been used daily for 4 months at a dosage of 2 tablets twice daily which resulted in a weight loss initially of 1-2 lbs per week which tapered off in about 2 months. You may like to know that I was the first person to discover it and to release this information to the world in 2004. I have observed that an unusual characteristic of Nat Phos 6x is that it has cured cases such as yours in a couple of months merely by using this remedy twice daily after meals.

I feel that you too can benefit from Nat Phos 6x to help both your GERD and to reduce your weight. You are advised to use it as suggested for a few days and to see for yourself if it can help you with your hyperacidity in the same manner that Nexium did. If you do decide to use it you will have to stop the Nexium which you cannot possibly take for the rest of your life as it can have other more serious side effects later.

Medicine does not have the equivalent of Nat Phos 6x and you may be interested to read my post a few days ago on another thread which I shall also copy below:

Re: Joe, Report on Nat Phos 6x

Nat Phos 6x which you have very precisely defined in your post above usually helps to solve GERD symptoms very quickly and permanently. It is only very rarely that the stomach juices over ride the subtle effect of the remedy and in my experience in Sri Lanka I have yet to come across a case which has not responded to this remedy which as you know is just 1/1millionth of Sodium Phosphate. 6x is 10 to the power 6 = 1 million.

A recent incident in the use of Nat Phos which will show the efficacy of this remedy is the case of a 18 year old boy, the son of my chef, who was rushed to our government hospital in Colombo with what was suspected to be a heart attack. He was warded for 6 days and was investigated by no less than 6 doctors who I presume were specialists in their own fields and I saw the medical reports that he had in a note book which were all not specific. I was surprised to note that one report indicated a suspected Myocardial Infarct ! He had with him 3 ECG's which to my untrained eye seemed to be perfect.

He went back to work in a town on the sea coast about 50km north of Colombo and in a week he was rushed back early in the morning with a severe pain on the left side of his chest which seemed to confirm the diagnosis of a heart attack. He was again warded and discharged in 3 days. He visited his father and I examined him. He informed me that his main problem was that he could not eat as he was always bloated and could not bear the sight of food. He could only eat a small meal and invariably felt sick shortly after.

I checked his pressure and his lungs and all seemed to be normal as could be expected at his age.

I gave him 2 tablets of Nat Phos 6x during the examination and he reported within about 5 minutes that he was feeling ravenously hungry for the first time in about 6 months. I gave him a banana and some bread this was the beginning of his cure.

This was obviously a case of Hyperacidity that had gone undetected by the specialists in the government hospital who all concluded that an 18 year old boy was suffering from heart problems.

Suresh continued with the Nat Phos 6x for a few months twice daily and is fully cured today and he does not use the remedy any more. He keeps a few tablets with him for insurance and uses them if he has a heavy meal as he has discovered that it helps to send the meal down quikcly. He has also put on a few pounds and is fully restored to health.

I do hope that members who may read this case history of a misdiagnosed cardiac problem in an 18 year old will consider using Nat Phos 6x for their next case of a patient who shows signs of any gastric distress.

I would also like to caution you on using Arnica 30c in the manner that you are now doing at 5 pellets 3 times daily. This may constitute an overdose and you are advised to use the wet dose which is made up by inserting just 3 pellets into a 500ml bottle of spring water which you can get from the nearest supermarket. You must shake the bottle (succuss ) hard before you sip a teaspoonful twice daily.

I shall be interested in your case to see if Nat Phos 6x (biochemic) can replace the Nexium you have used for 3 years already which can perhaps do serious harm in the long run and cannot cure you as Nat Phos can.

Hi Joe, I just ordered 1,000 each tablets of the Natrum Phosphoricum 6x (Nat Phos 6x (biochemic) from Hyland's Homeopathy. Per your suggestion, I will be taking two tablets twice a day. Thank you for all of the help that you have provided and the very detailed and comprehensive information. Your wisdom and generosity in sharing are exceptional. I'll be sure to let you know by about late July how this regimen has been working. I think this will be a pretty reasonable period of time to come up with some fairly conclusive results. I will be relieved to stop taking the Nexium. I am expecting great results, with the added benefit of losing some weight. Thanks again, Joe.

Hi Dorothy,

I would have preferred that you ordered just about 100 tablets to first check your response to Nat Phos. 1000 seems so excessive just in case it does not help you although I am confident that it should.

I would also like you to please report your response in 3 days after you first start on this therapy.

Joe
