My 6 Years old Daughter : Posterior blepharitis( left eye)
Hi ,My 6 years old Daughter is suffering from posterior blepharitis (meibomian gland dysfunction).
Current symptoms:
1. Lower lid inflamed.
2. Dry eyes
3. Left eye - with lots of red veins(inside lower lower lid and eyes's left side)
4. She does not complain of any discomfort or itchiness or pain .
5. No discharge or watery eye
6. Ophthalmologist diagnosed her (Blepharokeratoconjunctivitis (BKC) is a condition that involves inflammation of the eyelids and the front of the eye)
History:
1. Healthy child with healthy eating habits.
2. History of multiple chalazion on lower lids only ( which was treated by homeopathy doctor in 2019 during my India Visit ( I live in Australia). She still have very small one in left lower eye which I guess is formed post Stye in Nov 2021.
3.Since last year her left eye randomly turns bright red with no discomfort (doctor says she is asymptomatic). We need to put steroid drops to control inflamation.
4.If she cry her left eye become more red then right one.
Current Medication
1. She is on oral erythromycin since 25/11/2021
2. lubricating eye drops
3. Hot compression ( once a day)
3. we are consulting homeopathy doctor here but till now I have not seen any improvement . Earlier she was given with below medications which no success
1. Argentum nitricum 1M , once in two weeks Pulsatilla 30 morning and bedtime for six weeks
2. Silicea 1M , 5 drops / 8 tablets once in 10 days
Kali mur 6x (tab every 6 hourly for 6 weeks )
ferrum phos 6x (tab every 6 hourly for 6 weeks)
3. Rhus tox 200 - ( 3 doses a week for 3 weeks)
Currently she is on rhus tox 1M (every sunday) which have started last sunday.
Today Morning her lower lid is still inflamed , and left eye looks irritated ( lots of red veins) .
Considering her age I am worried she is expose to too many medications with no improvement . I have read r78 reckeweg might be good for blepharitis . Should I try that ? I am happy to post her eye picture if that can give more details.
I feel defeated. Kindly help.

Many thanks for quick reply. All these medicines were given by Homeopathy doctor . Considering her age I am reluctant to give her any medicine without consulting doctor.
I am not sure medication given to her for her Chalazion as doctor did not disclose name.
Last year we contacted same doctor over phone who prescribed medications (Number 1 and 2 mentioned in earlier post).
with at most request doctor did disclosed that he gave Silicea for Chalazion (in 2019) but I clearly remember he gave some combinations and not single medication for 3 months . Unfortunately he is not giving more details.
In 2019 her eyes were completely fine (only Chalazion in lower lids) with no dryness but with in 1 year post Chalazion treatment she is now diagnosed with blepharitis and dry eyes.
Since this year we are consulting australian homeopath who gave some medicine to nullify previous medications impact ( m not sure if it was Aloe S or something else).
Post that medication she started were Rhus tox 200 (3 doses a week for 3 weeks) + 3 weeks Silicea 6x and now Rhus tox 1M every sunday( which we have started only last sunday).

Thanks Dr. Post erthromycin , her meibomian glands are now secreting thin oil which is +ve indication. Doctor told to continue for 3 months. She is only left with few weeks dosage.
I am happy to start medication post erthromycin course completion if that is necessary. Kindly help.
