How Safe Are Homeopathic Preparations?
Since homeopathic preparations are very diluted mixtures of natural substances, they are completely safe and without undesirable side-effects.Hom.Dr. Saleem Hamid

Bringing this back as no one every commented and I am looking through the old material.
In general this is true, but you can get some miserable aggravations if you use inimical remedies. Also you must pay attention to patient vitality and not use too deep a remedy in a weak patient.
Back in 2000 a homeopath not paying attention gave me first Sulphur 200C and then Lycopodium 200C and I had some difficulties. One was very strange...speeding up and slowing down on the same day. I was sleepless for several days. I was tired and going around fairly normally and suddenly my body would slow down and I would need a wheelchair for a hour. Once my speech even slowed way down till I couldn't speak. I hadn't thought about it till now, but it brings MS to mind, which I don't have. Sudden weakness and I literally had to lie down on the floor where I was. When I got up I would stagger and have to hold on to things.
Who knows, maybe something bad cleared, but not the way to do it.

What Museon was referring to is
Sulphur-calc.carb-Lycopodium are to be used in that order only.
Even if a patient needs Lyco after Sulphur,it should not be given and the above order is to be followed.
This is what I read. Now museon tells you better heed that advice.
People who know it already excuse me.
All visitors may not be aware of this.

Thank you for the clarification. I should have made this clear.
Lower potencies are recommended for use by the average person, because of risk of further aggravation with increasing potency and because they don't require as exacting a match of symptoms.
Certain remedies do not work well together and this is one of the reasons professional homeopathic evaluation is recommended often.
If you are just picking one remedy in a low potency, there should be no problem at all in general.
